PRODUCT DESCRIPTION is a non-solvente, low viscous, clear an flui two-component epoxy resin. FIELDS OF APPLICATION is formulate to be use inoors for applications in inustrial an ecorative areas. MasterTop BC 309 can be use as a biner for stone carpet an colour quartz floors. It provies after curing a gloss appearance. FEATURES AND BENEFITS Low viscosity Low oour Easy to apply Excellent mecanical properties Low yellowing uner UV ligts Hig cemical resistance APPLICATION METHOD is supplie in working packs wic are pre-package in te exact ratio. Before mixing, preconition bot A an B components to a temperature of approximately 15 to 25 C. Pour te entire contents of part B into te container of part A. DO NOT MIX BY HAND. Mix wit a mecanical rill an pale at a very low spee (ca. 300 rpm) for at least 3 minutes. Scrape te sies an te bottom of te container several times to ensure complete mixing. Keep te mixer blaes submerge in te coating to avoi introucing air bubbles. DO NOT WORK OUT OF THE ORIGINAL CONTAINER. After proper mixing to a omogeneous consistency pour te mixe parts A an B into a fres container an mix for anoter minute. After mixing, is applie to te prepare substrate, using a notce trowel or scraper. Te teet size soul be selecte accoring to te tickness of layer require (take care not to excee max. recommene coverage rate). To remove air bubbles, spike roll irectly after application. On broacaste surfaces, will be applie wit a roller. For stone carpet floors, coloure or oven rie silica san (or oter fillers) are ae to te pre-mixe biner uner constant mixing. Ensure toroug wetting of te filler. Te mortar mix is sprea over te substrate wit a trowel, ten is levelle using template strips an finally levelle an compacte wit a trowel or power float. Te workability of reactive resins is influence by te ambient an substrate temperature. At low temperatures te cemical reactions are slowe own; tis lengtens te potlife, re-coating interval an open time. At te same time te viscosity increases wic leas to a iger consumption. Hig temperature accelerates cemical reactions so tat te time frames mentione above are sortene accoringly. To fully cure te material te substrate an working temperature must not fall below te minimum. Te relative umiity limitations (minimum, maximum) must be observe. Following application te material soul be protecte from irect contact wit water for approx. 24 ours (at 20 C). Witin tis perio, contact wit water causes wite spotting on te surface (formation of carbamate) an/or stickiness tat inibits interlayer aesion an must be remove. Apart from tese limitations, te respective guielines for tis use of reactive resins in te concrete trae apply. SUBSTRATE PRE-TREATMENT Substrates to be coate ave to be firm, ry an loa bearing, free of loose an brittle particles an substances, wic impair aesion suc as oil, grease, rubber ski mark paint or oter contaminants. As a rule, pre-treatment of te substrate by grit or sot blasting, ig-pressure water jetting grining or scarifying (incluing te necessary post-treatment) is manatory. After pre-treatment of te substrate, te bon strengt of te substrate must be at least 1.5 N/mm 2 (ceck wit an approve pull-off tester i.e. "Herion", loa rate 100 N/s). Te moisture content of te concrete soul not be iger tan 3% trougout (ceck i.e. wit CM equipment). Te temperature of te substrate must be at least 3 C above te current ew point temperature. In aition, te guielines relevant to te requirements for coating concrete substrates must be observe. CONSUMPTION Application as primer: As a primer, te consumption is typically between 0,3-0,5 kg/m 2 epening upon surface texture an porosity of te support. Application as stone carpet: Trow 1 bag of 25 kg of quartz in a barrel an a 2,0 kg of (tat is to say 8% of ). Mix until te resin as wette all quartz in te vessel. September 2016 Page 1 of 5
Apply tis mix wit a trowel onto a well prepare surface. Application as color quartz floor: Mix 1 Part of wit 2 Part of MasterTop F1X. Mix until te resin as wette all quartz in te vessel. Apply tis mix wit a trowel or a toote squeegee onto a well prepare surface. Broacast te surface wit color quartz san up to rejection. After curing, remove te excess of color quartz san an apply as top coat (0,5 0,8 kg/m 2 ). CLEANING AGENT Re-usable tools must be cleane carefully wit MasterTop CLN 44 or wit e.g. isopropanol. PACKAGING is supplie in 20 kg working packs an/or in rums of 180 kg for eac part. COLOUR Colourless, transparent STORAGE Store in original rums uner ry conitions an a temperature between 15-25 C. Do not expose to irect sunligt an prevent te temperature from falling below te above mentione range (crystallisation). For maximum self life uner tese conitions, see Best before... label. EU REGULATION 2004/42 (DECOPAINT GUIDELINE) Tis prouct conforms to te EU irective 2004/42/EG (Deco-Paint irective) an contains less tan te maximum allowable VOC Limit (Stage 2, 2010). Accoring to te EU irective 2004/42, te maximum allowable VOC content for te Prouct Category IIA / j type sb is 500 g/l (Limit: Stage 2, 2010). Te VOC content for is < 500 g/l (for te reay to use prouct). WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS In its cure state, is pysiologically nonazarous. Te following protective measures soul be taken wen working wit te material: Wear safety gloves, goggles an protective cloting. Avoi contact wit te skin an eyes. In case of eye contact, seek meical attention. Avoi inalation of te fumes. Wen working wit te prouct o not eat, smoke or work near a nake flame.
