Every year, thousands upon thousands of different kinds of willow products are shipped out to every corner of the world. Not many people know about the process of making willow baskets and willow products. Willow is planted, grown and harvested like any other crop. After harvesting it needs to be naturally dried. Then it is peeled split according to the product requirements. The willow is woven into baskets and other desired products. The willow is steamed in hot water and dyed into different colors. Chinese Garden ~ Butterfly Garden Here at the Deco Gallery we have many treasures --most of which you see featured in our monthly newsletters. But I ll bet you didn t know we have a Chinese Garden in front of the Deco Gallery. In our Chinese Garden we have Chinese artifacts, pagodas, fountains, stone statuary, granite tables and chairs, plus our very own butterfl y garden! Clayton has been working very hard in the hot Florida sun to get the irrigation to the planters and the plants placed just right. In our garden we have quite a few varieties of salvia, plus pentas and shrimp plants that are attractants for our winged friends. I invite you to come by and take a look at our Chinese Garden. It is a work-of-art-in-process. Visit us often to see the progress! Jenny Deb's Recipe: "Salsa Fresca" "This recipe is great to use for tortilla chip dipping but also works well as a hearty chili topping. INGREDIENTS 2 cups chopped ripe tomatoes 1 cup chopped Vidalia onions 1 cup chopped green Bell pepper 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice 1 jalapeno, fi nely diced 1 teaspoon salt Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish excerpted from thedailygreen.com DIRECTIONS 1. Combine the tomatoes, onion, pepper, lime juice, jalapeno and salt in a big bowl and stir to combine. 2. Leave out at room temperature for 1 hour or place in the refrigerator for about 8 hours. Be sure to bring it up to room temperature before eating. 3. Spoon off any excess liquid, gently mix in the cilantro and taste to see if it needs any more salt. Willow Baskets

The salt lamps connect negative ions in our homes and offi ces with excess positive ions. When a salt lamp becomes warm, the salt crystal absorbs moisture from the air and builds up an ion fi eld.
