Sacred Hearts Core Values: Compassion & Sharing St. Ann Model Early Learning Center Weekly News Week of November 15-21, 2015 FOOD DRIVE Starting November 1, 2015, St. Ann Model Schools will be taking food donation to help fill Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for families in need. Canned and dried food items along with a Foodland certificate for a turkey or ham will fill each basket. Please bring your donations to your child s classroom any time before December 19, 2015. Any contribution you are able to make will help many families this holiday season. To help spread love and hope throughout the island, this year, we ask that you enclose a note with your donation for the recipient of the basket. Please label the note, From the Family of St. Ann to your Family, In times of need, families need to know that they are not alone and that they are loved by God and their Community. We hope to bring joy and peace for the holidays. ELC SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR Our Scholastic Book Fair is coming up November 16 20, 2015. It is a week-long fair that takes place in our outdoor courtyard every morning and afternoon. It s a great way to help children foster their love of books and to get them reading the earlier the better. Volunteer requests/information was sent home via children s mailboxes on Thursday, November 5 th. If you are able to help, please fill out the form and turn it into the ELC Office. Book Fair hours are: Monday Friday mornings 6:45am-8:00am, Monday-Thursdays from 2:00pm- 5:00, Wednesday afternoon from 2:00pm 4:30pm with a special early evening Family Night from 4:30pm 6:30pm, Friday afternoon from 2:00pm 4:00 pm. SPECIAL FAMILY NIGHT, Wednesday, November 18 th 4:30pm 6:30pm Come check out our Special Family Night Event. We will have games, prizes and watch Monsters Inc.!! This is a wonderful opportunity to pick up Christmas decorations, wreaths, centerpieces, handcrafted gifts and ono baked goods. You may purchase your festival scrip early. If you would like to pre-purchase scrip, please fill out the bottom portion of the flyer that was placed in your child s mailbox on October 29 th. Scrip are $.50 each and are sold in sheets of $20.00.
