Resident Spot Light Bryce, a WW II Army veteran, began a banking career very early in life. His first job while still in high school was at a local bank in his hometown of Detroit. His favorite summer job on the SS American as a Bell hop, and he stated that the tips were great. After college at Michigan State, Bryce entered the banking business. He ended up at the State Bank of Coloma. Vera, one of our residents worked for him. He has always enjoyed fishing on his boat for Coho Salmon in Lake Michigan. Fishing in Alaska was quite a highlight, and Bryce enjoyed many cruises with his wife Marjorie. Vera enjoys playing Uno and crafts. She graduated from Coloma High School. She worked several places and one of our residents was her boss for a number of years at the bank. Her passion was her Ceramic Business, Ra-Ann Ceramics, which she had for over 20 years in downtown Coloma. She had classes in the evenings and one morning class. She enjoyed traveling to various ceramic seminars. A few of her students started their own ceramic businesses. Her husband Howard was always very helpful. Staff Spot Light Nancy is our Activity Assistant. She graduated from Western Michigan University and taught 6 years at Riverside Elementary School. Later she began working at Blossom Land (Berrien RESA) located in Berrien Springs for about 20 years before retiring and coming to Woodland Terrace. She loves having her grandkids over and taking them up North to their family cabin. She enjoys working with our residents. Good Job, Nancy!
