It saddens me that I can t be there right now to assist in the everyday operations of the Post. I would like to take a minute and Thank everyone for the well wishes and prayers for my parents. My mom has finally been scheduled for surgery on January 9 th. We also have my dad set up with nurses, caregivers, and physical therapist coming over on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. So, we are making progress with my parents. The Post is doing well, thanks to Gary, Steve, Jay, and Dave, who are Post Officers. So, thank those guys when you see them, I would appreciate it. I also want to thank the Post Staff; Our Bar Manager Arlene, and all of the Post 142 Bartenders, as well as the Kitchen Staff; Gina, Suzie, and our Servers; Nina, Denise, and all of the others who are behind the scenes making good things happen for the Post. I will keep everyone informed on my situation. I hope to get back that way in February or March. A MESSAGE FROM THE AUXILIARY PRESIDENT Please pay your dues either on line or drop them off at the Post or mail them. Unit 142 is at 67% so keep those renewals, rejoin and new members coming in. If your dues are NOT paid by December 31, 2017 you are NO longer a member in good standing and you forfeit all your benefits. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. January meeting is Thursday the 4th. We began the month with the Grand Opening of the Tiki Hut & Pig Roast on Saturday December 4 th and the event was a huge success. We had over 200 people at the Post and all had a great time!! Special thanks to all segments of the Legion Family who made up the committee for the event as well as members who brought side dishes!! SAL members please get your membership in if you have not done so. We have targets we need to meet so please do your part!!! Please come out and join us at Post 142 for New Year s Eve.
