Thank you for your interest in Linden House for your forthcoming function. Linden House has been holding Asian Functions since 2005, including wedding, pre wedding, birthday celebrations and parties. Our experience has taught us to appreciate the various cultures and traditions associated with such occasions which has enabled us to devise a choice of THREE packages to suit your exact requirements, they are Bronze, Silver and Gold
The following packages have been carefully designed to satisfy your exact requirements and INCLUDE :- Exclusive use of function room and designated bar area. Choice of one of the THREE packages available. All food is produced and supplied by Diamond Foods Catering Service Limited to authentic Asian recipes. Halal products are also available, name of supplier can be provided. Diamond Foods Catering Service have supplied Linden House for many years and is our preferred choice for quality food and reliable service. Linden House staff to display and serve the food. All tables, linen cloths, colour coordinated napkins, crockery, cutlery, some table decorations and glassware ( ONE multi use tumbler ). Management and supervision throughout event. You can provide :- Your own soft drinks to put on tables or mini bar ( included in package price ) Your own alcoholic drinks, ie whisky, vodka etc to put on tables or mini bar where a small corkage charge will apply. This will be dependent on numbers attending. Please note we do not permit bottled or draught beers to be brought on to the premises ( see Optional below ). Corkage charges - 50 for up to 100 persons / 95 for 100-200 persons Your own DJ or entertainment ( Volume levels set by the Management of Linden House must be maintained throughout the event - see Disclaimer ). Your own decorations ie balloons, table confetti etc. We do NOT permit small metal confetti / confetti canons or indoor fireworks. Ice for mini bars and other bar sundries including nuts and crisps. Linden House can provide bowls and dishes for sundries if requested. Optional We will open the bar for draught beers. If a credit bar is required, settlement is required either by cash or credit card prior to the commencement of the function. A printed till receipt will be provided at the end of the function.

If you are interested in making a booking, we recommend you follow the FIVE easy steps. 1. Check the date - enquire if your chosen date is available in our diary by telephoning 01902 753743. 2. Select the most suitable room - we have THREE function rooms available accommodating from 30 persons up to 220 persons. 3. Cost involved - We have a comprehensive tariff structure and our sales team will be able to advise on the best package to suit your requirements or check online. 4. Viewing the facilities - If this is the first time you have used our facilities, we strongly recommend you take the time to view our function rooms and discuss your requirements with our sales team. 5. Make a booking - If you are happy to proceed with a booking you will be required to complete a booking form with a small deposit, both can be done online or over the telephone. ( Provisional booking - If you are unsure and want more time to think about making a firm booking, we are able to reserve the room PROVISIONALLY for ONE week, subject to confirmation. If we have not heard from you after one week, the room will be made available to other customers ). 6. How it all works ( Terms and Conditions ) Please see section below on Function Procedure which will hopefully answer all your questions.
Function Procedure Before the function 1. Organiser enquires about function rooms and availability and is invited to view the premises. A second visit may be necessary where other members of the family may wish to view the facilities 2. Organiser agrees a suitable date with Linden House and completes a booking form. A deposit is required in the sum of 75.00 to secure the booking. 3. Brief discussions between the two parties will highlight the basic details of the function including maybe the menu package chosen and price. 4. Linden House will confirm the booking in writing, by letter or e- mail and accompanied by a function schedule for guidance. The guest numbers quoted are just estimates at this stage. 5. Approximately 14 weeks prior to the function date, the two parties will hold further discussions in order to agree the final details of the function. These details will be confirmed on the schedule by letter or e mail. 6. Two weeks prior to the function, the organiser will confirm the actual numbers attending along with final details of the function with suggested table plan 7. Linden House will confirm those details agreed with the organiser, by letter or e mail and accompanied by a pro forma invoice based on the final number of persons attending. 8. The organiser is required to pay the balance of the function indicated on the pro forma invoice ONE week prior to the function. If payment is by personal cheque the payment must be made at latest ONE week prior to the function date. A receipt will be given to the organiser in respect of payment. 9. Linden House will make final confirmation of details including payments made and expected numbers attending by letter or e mail. IMPORTANT NOTE It is extremely important that the organiser examines the details of the final schedule very carefully, as this will form the basis of the agreement. Any variation in detail after this date or on the day of the function, may incur further cost.
On the day 10. On the day of the event, the function room will be made available to the organiser at the earliest opportunity, generally no later than 12.00pm. If the event is due to commence earlier ie lunchtime, the room will be available from 9.00am. The room will be laid out in accordance with the schedule. 11. The organiser and family are very welcome to enter the function room in advance of the guests, to set up bars, decorations and entertainment. Any last minute adjustments will be made by Linden House staff in accordance with the final schedule. However, please note!! Organiser ONLY In order to avoid to avoid any confusion, Linden House management and staff must receive instructions direct from the organiser or representative. We cannot accept instructions from any other person on the day. 12. The organiser will be required to set up any mini bars or lay out drinks on each table. For legal purposes, Linden House staff are not allowed to be directly involved in any dispense of drinks or the control of mini bars. Staff however, may assist in the distribution of the drinks on the table if required. 13. Linden House will provide a tumbler for each guest, however if extra items are required ie wine glasses, ice buckets or water jugs an additional charge will apply. This must be agreed during the final discussions as outlined in ( 9 ) above. 14. MAIN BAR- If the main bar has been requested, the organiser is asked to deposit a sum of money on account for the dispense of draught beers / lagers etc BEFORE the event commences. A running tab will be kept for all the drinks dispensed. The organiser may wish to increase the tab at any time during the evening. 15. If NO Main Bar has been requested BEFORE the event, for logistical reasons it cannot be requested or opened ON the night. 16. Organisers may wish to bring their own nuts and crisps to put on the tables and in such circumstances, Linden House will be glad to provide suitable bowls or dishes at no extra charge.
17. At the agreed time stipulated on the schedule and after the majority of the guests have arrived, the starter will be served to the tables, usually 1 2 hours after the commencement of the function. Additional food ( top up ) will be available if required. 18. Approximately 30-45mins after the starter has been served, the staff will clear away the plates. 19. Dancing or rituals will often then take place. Linden House staff will continue to maintain the room in a tidy condition and replenish glasses as required. 20. After one hour or in accordance with the schedule and following announcement by the Entertainer, the Main Course will be served from the buffet 21. At an appropriate time, the Main course plates will be cleared from the tables by the staff following which they will go around the room serving the dessert. 22. After the meal has been served, the room will be cleared of all crockery and used glassware and the party continues until the end. 23. It is normal practice with evening functions for the bar to close at 12.00 midnight and dancing to finish at 12.30am. ( please see schedule ). 24. After the event has finished, guests will begin to depart as the entertainers are dismantling equipment ready to leave. The building must be fully vacated by 1.00am latest. 25. Please note that all unused food will be discarded at the end of the evening. Surplus food may be taken from the premises subject to the organiser signing a disclaimer. It is advisable to bring boxes or containers in the event of food being taken from premises. 26. The Organiser must ensure all guests leave the premises in a quiet and orderly manner.
