Dining and Professional Staff: Our chef, Chef Chris Boan is known to cook with passion over the last 20 years. Chris has traveled much of the east coast and mid-west region in a quest to acquire different inspirations towards his culinary platform. This includes his education at The Art Institute of Atlanta which has established his formal training as well as apprenticeships under many fine chefs. Chris has also obtained a Business degree minoring in political science with his combined attendance at The University of Toledo, NGCSU and The University of Phoenix which has excelled his diversity. He remains consistently innovative in technique while Working in the food service industry. He is qualified, up to date and trained in food service safety under established guidelines of the nationally recognized ServSafe Restaurant Association. He has found the importance of local support as he was the youngest member of Rotary Chapter 1610 and Chamber of Commerce while establishing relationships with organizations such as Relay for Life and Habitat for Humanity. Chris is known to be an outgoing hometown guy who continues to make a name for himself through inspired vision and a natural respect towards the use of wildlife and natures gifts. In the spring you may find his garden abundant in various vegetables and herbs. When he is not working, Chris is involved in local athletic clubs and spending time with his children. As a father of two, he understands the importance of quality and healthy food at the table. Chestatee Golf Club offers a professionally trained staff to serve your guests. The Heron Grille offers a fully stocked bar with experienced servers.
Our dining room accommodates 72 to 80 persons comfortably. The Heron Grille has TVs with Direct TV which can be viewed from all aspects of the dining room and the back deck. The back deck is set amongst the North Georgia Mountains which overlooks the golf course and the great lawn. The deck can accommodate up to 25 people. The great lawn can be used for an outdoor event. Many events have been held under the stars with a tented back lawn to accommodate larger events. The Club can provide you with a list of vendors to assist you with your event; florists, entertainment, tent rentals, cake specialists, etc.
Food & Beverage: Chestatee Golf Club offers buffet and plated selections to meet the vision for your event. (breakfast, lunch or dinner) Custom menus are prepared for your event to insure customer satisfaction. Pricing is per person with GA state sales tax (7%), Dawson County liquor tax (3%) and 18% gratuity added to the final invoice. The customer may choose to keep a master tab for food & beverages. Cash bars are permitted for bar beverages. Our fully stocked bar includes house wines, well brand liquor, draft and canned beer. A copy of alcoholic beverage list is contained in the packet. Draft beer is subject to change with seasonal brands. Services and Guidelines:
Chestatee Golf Club is pleased to host your special event. We offer the following information to assist you in successfully planning your event with us. There are more specific descriptions and information lists below that will address most of your initial questions and concerns. We look forward to a wonderful event and again, thank you for the opportunity to be your host. Taxes and Gratuities: All events are subject to 7% Georgia sales tax, 3% liquor tax and 18% gratuity. All prices are subject to change. Food & Beverage Policy: All food and beverages provided for your event must be arranged through the Club with the exception of wedding cakes. We request that the final menu be submitted thirty (30) days prior to your event. We will work closely with you to determine your menu selections. Contracts, Deposits and Payments: We will require a non-refundable deposit on file of $250 to hold your date and to plan the specifics of your event. This amount will be credited to the total balance of you final invoice. Final payment is due at the end of your event once bar consumption has been added to the final bill. Prices cannot be confirmed until sixty (60) days prior to the date of the function due to fluctuating food prices. Event Guarantees: When choosing a date for your event we will request an estimated number of guests. This number will assist us in planning specifics such as accommodations and size of staff needed to successfully host your event. We ask for a guaranteed number of guest ten (10) days prior to your event. In the event we do not receive the guarantee number ten (10) days prior to your event, the original estimated number of guests will become the guarantee number of guests for billing purposes. This is the minimum number you will be responsible for and we will only charge you the guarantee number and the guests above the guarantee number. For events booked seven (7) days in advance, a fifty (50%) non-refundable deposit is required to hold the date.
Cancellations: All event deposits are non-refundable. Any outdoor events that are cancelled due to inclement weather will be rescheduled. Any exceptions to the policy may be considered by the Food & Beverage/Clubhouse Manager. Serving Time: All event set-ups will be completed at least thirty (30) minutes prior to the start time. We pride ourselves on meeting the serving time outlined in the BEO contract. If you need to delay the serving time, please advise our staff immediately to insure the quality, taste and presentation of your menu selections. All per plate buffets will be refreshed and served until all guests have eaten. All hors d oeuvres buffets will be refreshed until the buffet is depleted or for up to 2 hours. Additional charges will apply if replenishments after this time are requested. Private rooms are scheduled around the published operational hours of the club. All evening events are scheduled with the planned conclusion no later than 12:00 am. This allows us to prepare the Club to be presentable for the next day s operational schedule. This information and schedule will need to be disseminated to all participants in the event. (i.e. entertainment, photographers, decorators, etc.) It is your responsibility to inform any contracted outside services (bands, decorators, etc.) and guests that they must clean up and vacate the property within one (1) hour of your function s completion. Failure to comply will result in a $100 surcharge to your account.
Smoking Policy: Chestatee Golf Club is a non-smoking environment. We request that you and your guests abide by our policy. Smoking is permitted outside the building only. Ash receptacles are located on the patio. Additional Rentals: Our Staff will contract and reserve any additional rental you may need for your event for a surcharge of ten (10%) of the rental total: chairs, tables, arches, heaters, dance floor, tent, etc. If guests choose to coordinate rental equipment they must provide a copy of the rental agreement and insurance certificate of the contracted company two (2) weeks prior to the event. All rental equipment must be delivered the day before the event and picked up no later than the following day. Decorations/Set Up/ Clean Up: All catered events include plate ware, flatware and glasses. The Club has seating for 72-80 guests in the Heron Grille and up to 200 on the great lawn. All decorations are the responsibility of the customer. To preserve the beauty of the clubhouse we request no nailing, tacking or taping to the walls, ceiling or any other part of the building without prior approval from management. The customer is financially responsible for any damages to the facility in misuse of decorations. All decorations must be removed from the building within one (1) hour of the event s completion. Please appoint someone to handle your items, cake stands, floral arrangements, etc. Any remaining items will be discarded if not picked up by the following day. Any decorating plans must be coordinated two (2) weeks prior to the event with management. Guests will be given a time that decorating can begin prior to the event.
Facility Rental $1,500 (Weddings Large) $500 (50+ participants) $250 (0 to 50 participants) Alcoholic Beverage prices are contained in your packet on the brew & wines, liquor menus. There is an additional charge $100 for an outside service bar. Per plate pricing for your guests will be determined once menu selections are made by the customer. All buffets are priced and served per plate. They are not an all you can eat option. If additional plates are requested you will be charged accordingly. All pricing includes water and iced tea. Additional rentals can be contracted with outside services. The Club will assist you in obtaining outside rentals and offers referrals for rental services. Exceptional linen costs will be charged to the customer. If the Club has to obtain linen from an outside vendor not currently under contract, additional charges for the linen will be added to the final invoice. All additional charges will be discussed with the customer before the final invoice is issued.
