Formal Healthy Bowtie Lettuce PastaWraps with Sausage with Simple and White a Green Rice Salad with andhome SugarMade Glazed Vinaigrette Carrots (for (for 2)4) 1 2 Lets begin by slicing the green onions about half way up the green/leafy portions. Drain the water chestnuts and chop them (1/2 X 1/2 size). Peel the carrots and trim ends. Cut the carrots into 3-4 lengths. Next, carefully quarter each section by cutting them lengthwise, then laying the flat side down and cutting again lengthwise. 3 Add 1/2 cup rice to a sauté or sauce pan with a lid. Stir in 1 cup chicken broth and cook on high heat until broth boils. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender. Add to serving bowl when done. 4 While the meat is cooking, add the cut carrots and water to a pan with a lid and cook on high heat for approx. 8 minutes, boiling until al dente. (firm, not mushy) As the carrots cook, lay out lettuce leaves on a serving platter. When the carrots achieve al dente drain liquid and add 1 Tbs. butter and 2 Tbs. brown sugar. Toss together, once melted serve. While rice is cooking, heat 1/2 Tbs. olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add ground turkey, break up and cook meat until done. Once fully cooked, remove the cooked turkey from the pan with a slotted spoon and set aside. 5 While the carrots are cooking, the meat should finish cooking. After removing the meat from the pan, add the sliced green onions and 3/4 tsp freeze dried minced garlic and sauté on medium heat until the green portion of the green onions begin to wilt. (about 1 minute) 7 6 Next, stir in 2 Tbs. hoisin sauce, 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce, 1/2 Tbsp. rice vinegar, 1 tsp. sesame oil and desired amount of chili paste depending on heat preference.
