A few minutes later Waiter: May I take your order now? Gilbert: Umm I don t think we re ready yet. Can you explain the menu to us? Waiter: Yes. What kind of food do you prefer? April: I d like to try the local Taiwanese snacks. Gilbert: I prefer local Chinese food.
Waiter: Would you like to try radish cake and shark s fin pottage, ma am? April: What s radish cake? Waiter: It s made of rice and radish. It s one of the most famous snacks in Taiwan. April: It sounds good. I d like one. And what is shark s fin pottage?
Waiter: It s a kind of high-nutritional food made of shark s fin, meat, mushroom, and bamboo shoots. It s quite famous. But now for environmental reason and to protect the marine species, we don t use the real shark s fin, but I guarantee it s still very tasty.
April: Umm it seems delicious and healthy. Please get me one. How about you, Gib? Gilbert: I d like one, too. I also want to try sweet and sour fish.
