Windows is a fully licensed training restaurant at Wintec s Rotokauri Campus. The restaurant allows our students to gain live practical experience within a secure and supportive learning environment. Themed Dinner Dates Our popular themed dinners are $60.00 per person and features a pre dinner welcome drink and a four course dinner including two glasses of selected wine or beer or non alcoholic beverage. 2 March - Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Paying respect to the smooth sounds and culinary trends of the flower power generation. Delivered with a groovy twist. 7 April - Irish Food and Folklore Traditional Irish recipes with a modern touch. 30 May - A stop at Hogsmead Using four Harry Potter books to inspire four dishes and create a little magic along the way. 25 June - Matariki - Come celebrate Aotearoa s new year Ngā Kai a Matariki, nāna i ao ake ki runga. The food supplies of Matariki; scooped by her. 29 August - Around the World on four plates A taste of four different cultures around the globe. 3 October - Halloween A magical night out with trick or treat spell binding food. 26 November - Made in Italy (Charity Event - Child Matters) Mangiare per vivere e non vivere per mangiare. Eat to live, don t live to eat. Any further beverages may be ordered from our extensive wine list and paid for at list price. Guests will be asked to pay on the evening as our students require the practice of receiving payment. Pre-dinner drinks from 6:30pm and seated by 6:45pm.
Charity Event - 26 November The Centre for Hospitality is pleased to be hosting a Charity Dinner for one of our community partners Child Matters. Child Matters is a national child protection charitable trust dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Focussing on educating, supporting and upskilling those working and interacting with children, young people and their families and whānau so they are able to identify risks concerning vulnerability and abuse and have the knowledge and confidence to take appropriate action. The dinner will be a 5 course Italian theme, with a complimentary welcome drink on arrival, and 2 glasses of selected wine or beer or nonalcoholic beverage. The bar will be open for those who wish to purchase further drinks. There will also be a blind auction running throughout the evening, so bring your credit card and deep pockets to contribute to this worthy cause. Pre-dinner drinks will be from 6.30pm and guests will be seated around 6.45pm. Cost per head is $60.00. Numbers for this event are limited so bookings are essential. Reservations Restaurant reservations are essential. We recommend that you book well in advance by phoning the Centre for Hospitality on 07 834 8850 between the hours of 8am 4pm Monday to Thursday, and 8am 2pm on Fridays. Alternatively, email windows@wintec.ac.nz. Lunch sittings are.30am,.45am,2 noon and 2.5 pm. Dinner sittings are 6pm, 6.5pm, 6.30pm and 6.45pm. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your reservation as we often have customers waitlisted. If your preferred booking date is unavailable, we are happy to place you on the waiting list. Children s meals available on request please enquire when making your booking. Bookings for 0 or more may be split into smaller tables due to training requirements.

Parking Please park your vehicle in the new visitor carpark on Gilchrist Street. This is allocated to visitors (2 hours maximum). You do not need a permit when using a visitor car park. If these are full, or you are going to be longer than 2 hours, you will need to pay and display a ticket while parking in any staff/student area. Disability parks are available as per the map also. Buses and large vans can park in the service bay marked with the yellow lines just past the main door to L Block.
