HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR EVENTS CALENDAR WELCOME Following the opening of our vibrant restaurant by the sea last year, we are delighted to invite you to join us for a variety of events taking place throughout 2017. Whether you would like to learn to cook some of our exotic dishes; discover how to pair Indian food with local craft beer; want to celebrate national or international holidays with us; or just want to eat our mouth-watering, stylish cuisine; we hope there's something in here for everyone. Learn how to cook in the authentic style, and enjoy a fun experience in our Sea Spice kitchen. Each class will be hands on and will cover two courses. All ingredients and recipes are provided, and there will be an opportunity to eat what you cook at the end of class. PERFECT PAIRINGS When it s wine you ask a sommelier. And when it s matching craft beers with exotic Indian cuisine, make your way to Sea Spice for one of our Perfect Pairings events being held in May and September. With the burgeoning craft beer scene, here at Sea Spice we are very passionate about ensuring we offer an edited menu of craft beers and ales; all of which have been chosen to complement our menu. DIWALI Known as the Festival of Lights, Diwali food is all about sharing with loved ones. Whilst there isn't a specific dish associated with Diwali, one thing that unites everyone is the indulgence of 'mithai' - something sweet and sticky. Our Diwali feast menu will include a selection of desserts for you to enjoy whilst you dine by candlelight.
APRIL THURSDAY 13TH APRIL Chef Rawat has an incredible touch with spices, honed over years of experience in brilliant kitchens in London. In today's lesson, chef will teach you have to create one of his mouth-watering signature dishes, as well as a delicious starter. FRIDAY 21ST APRIL ANNIVERSARY PARTY You are invited to join us to celebrate our first anniversary of opening Sea Spice. We will welcome you with a glass of fizz and canapes, before you are seated to enjoy a five course tasting menu, with each course paired with local craft beer. Between courses, you will be entertained with traditional Indian music. 7.30pm. 45 per person. MAY WEDNESDAY 24TH MAY PERFECT PAIRINGS CRAFT BEER AND INDIAN CUISINE Craft beer is a perfect accompaniment to Indian cuisine and you can find out just how well they go together by joining us for our Perfect Pairings event. Indulge in a four course tasting menu, with each dish perfectly matched with a local craft beer, provided by Adnams. Bradley Adnams and our Cicerone, Francois Belin, will talk you through what makes them such a perfect match. From 7.30pm. 40 per person. JUNE THURSDAY 8TH JUNE Chef Rawat makes the very best of Aldeburgh s fantastic positioning for daily caught fish and local organic produce. Learn how to combine the mouthwatering flavours of India with the local catch of the day.
SUNDAY 18TH JUNE FATHER'S DAY Treat Dad to an exotic three course dinner and let him indulge on his special day with our delicious set menu. 25 per person. JULY EVERY WEDNESDAY IN JULY BEER, BIRYANI AND BUTTER NAAN Every Wednesday enjoy a beer, biryani and butter naan. Choose from our free range chicken, East Anglian lamb, or seasonal vegetable biryanis; each layered with spices and aromas. 25 per couple. SATURDAY 19TH AUGUST ALDEBURGH CARNIVAL Look out for our pop-up food stall seriving our fantastic food on the go. SEPTEMBER 26TH SEPTEMBER - 1ST OCTOBER OKTOBERFEST We're celebrating Oktoberfest with a whole week dedicated to craft beer. Throughout the week you can enjoy our Oktoberfest Tasting Menu that features a feast of delicious Indian cuisine, paired with local craft beer. 35 per person. AUGUST THURSDAY 10TH AUGUST Light bites are the order of the day in the height of summer, so join Chef Rawat in this masterclass to learn how to make our mouthwatering naan, popular starter, jhinga dakshini (tiger prawns in crunchy chickpea flour) and samosa chat. WEDNESDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER PERFECT PAIRINGS CRAFT BEER AND INDIAN CUISINE To celebrate Oktoberfest and local craft beer, we will be holding another of our Perfect Pairings evenings. Indulge in a four course tasting menu, with each dish perfectly matched with a local craft beer. We will also talk you through what makes them such a perfect pairing. From 7.30pm. 40 per person.
OCTOBER 9TH - 15TH OCTOBER NATIONAL CURRY WEEK Enjoy 2 for 1 on all our curries to celebrate National Curry Week! TUESDAY 17TH - SUNDAY 22ND DIWALI Throughout the week, we will be running a special Diwali feast menu which will include a selection of desserts for you to indulge in. Plus, look out for our Diwali themed party which will be held in November at Thorpeness Country Club. 5.30pm - 9pm. 35 per person. NOVEMBER THURSDAY 9TH NOVEMBER With Christmas just weeks away, why not serve your guests something different over the festive period. With that in mind, chef will teach you how to make a two course meal that will impress your guests, and make a nice alternative to the usual festive feast. DECEMBER 28TH NOVEMBER - 30TH DECEMBER CHRISTMAS PARTIES Enjoy an exotic Christmas feast with your colleagues, friends or family and choose from three festive menus. Ideal for office parties. From 25 per person. SUNDAY 31ST DECEMBER NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY Our New Year's celebration will centre around exotic food, delightful drinks, fantastic entertainment, and good company.
