Trouble shooting guide is a sophisticated automatic espresso maker. It is electronically controlled & operated. Instead of micro switches, has magnet sensors to control safety features. The electronic control of grinding and adjustable temperature & strength of coffee serves strong, hot coffee every time. Like other Brands of fully automatic espresso machines by Jura, Saeco, Gaggia & Schaerer, it is very important that Dark Roast Oily beans are not used in Gamea Revo machine. Use of dark roast Oily beans causes clogged Grinder & over filling of Brew group ending in dumping of dry un-used coffee grounds. Use of Dark roast oily beans will VOID the warranty. The warm up & rinsing takes only one minute and 4 seconds. Donot turn machine on 0 minutes or more in advance simply to find it ready upon return. Machine will change screen & sleep in 0 minutes. If machine is not used for 30 minutes, it will shut off. Machine draws attention with beep signals for the following: - Water is low. (Refill water tank) - Used coffee bin is full. (Empty used coffee bin hile the machine is 'ON' to register the correction). 3- Brew group is not inserted correctly or when it is not in the machine. 4- Door is open. (Close door) - Drip tray is missing. (Replace the drip tray correctly). Errors & Malfunctions that need attention: Grinder spins fast with sharper sound when - Beans are out. Refill beans. - Grinder outlet is clogged due to use of dark roast oily beans. 3- Grind setting is too fine because the factory setting was changed. Changing grind fineness is not advised. Machine allows very little adjustment. Changing coffee strength: Raising the coffee strength is an option to between to settings. Adjust to the setting the machine makes espresso without dumping dry coffee grounds. The setting at or guarantees enough coffee to fill the compacting cup in the brew group. In some cases setting at 3 also works if brew unit cup is not overfilled. Strong coffee is made between & 3 setting. When the sground coffee setting is too high (even when the setting is at or 3), the electronic control will switch it to next lower setting.

Changing Coffee strength (contd.) The coffee strength setting relates to the quantity of ground coffee in the brew unit compacting cup. Jumping the setting to higher number only overfills the brew unit compacting cup. Ground coffee overfilled in the compacting cup will prevent compacting piston and brew group will dump dry coffee grounds. When this happens, correction can be made with two different correction adjustments: - To change the coffee strength number to one number lower & try again. - Check the coffee grounds between thumb & finger. It should feel like table salt grain. 3- If the coffee grounds are coarser than table salt grain, fineness needs adjustment. This will be rarely necessary in a Gamea. To make grind finer, use the knob in the bean hopper. Press the knob & turn counter-clockwise only mm turn at a time. Please note the adjustment is intentially limited. 4- If the ground coffee continues to be dumped dry, the ground coffee quantity filling the brew group needs to be reduced. To do so please call our technician at -36-7000 for help. Recommended adjustments for the Love of Better coffee: - Espresso is made to a maximum -Oz. size. For making Americana coffee up to 8-Oz. or more, & retain the taste and stronger aroma, we suggest making two x-oz espressos. Then add hot water from the same machine. - If the semiautomatic espresso machine has beenswitched to, the convenience & coffee quality will be much better & different. Please adjust to espresso roast beans. Dark roast oily beans are not best for coffee or the Coffee machine. Oily beans change to Rancid in less than minutes.
