Chardonnay Made solely from the original 1969 plantings, some of the oldest in Australia, it makes no qualms about its individuality of style. Basket pressing, skin contact and 100% malolactic fermentation is employed, a natural process that adds complexity, roundness and decreases inherent acidity, a pleasing albeit rare option afforded in Australian winemaking. Aged in 40% new French oak it combines intense opulence with fresh natural acidity, fine linearity, finesse & textural flintiness VINTAGE 2004 92 Points James Halliday, Wine Companion VINTAGE 2006 90 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion 92 Points Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate 90 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion 87 Points Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate VINTAGE 2010 93 Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate VINTAGE 2011 94 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion 93 Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate 92 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion 90+ Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate 95 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion 2016

Carrodus Viognier This Viognier is sourced from some of the oldest Viognier vines in the country. Basket pressing, skin contact and barrel ageing deliver an ethereal wine that highlights the particular strengths of this unique hedonistic variety. It has glycerol richness combined with a freshness and focus. Line and length come not from acidity but from phenolics, glycerol and the varieties own inherent bitterness. Aims to be a benchmark example of its type. Musk, floral, honeysuckle, acacia, orange blossom. Pinot Noir Produced from what are amongst the oldest Pinot Noir vines in the Yarra Valley. Eschewing current oenological trend and fashion, the fruit is largely handled in its usual manner, favouring partial crushing and a short cuvaison as integral tools in the preservation & expression of vineyard elements in concert with its startling varietal character. No cluttering the argument here with too much extraneous activity or skin time. Aristocratic, fragrant, intensely perfumed, voluptuous, sweet strawberry/plum richness, anise, beetroot, silky in texture. The wine is rich, round, soft and mouth filling to the end. Also has the rare ability to gain from bottle age rather than diminish. Dry Red Wine No.1 Classic claret style. This is the blend on which the reputation of Yarra Yering was built. Always medium bodied and low in alcohol, suggesting delicacy, but nonetheless a sleeping powerhouse of precision, intensity and concentration that demands the requisite time in the bottle to unfurl and let the drinker in. Principally Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Malbec and a little Petit Verdot added this wine soaks up 100% new oak every vintage and never looks out of balance. Dry Red Wine No.2 A shiraz based blend with inspiration drawn from a complex and eclectic assemblage of styles from varying appellations in the spiritual home of shiraz in Frances Rhone Valley. A perfumed, rich and generous wine co-fermented with tiny amounts of Viognier and Marsanne for vibrancy, suppleness and an extra dimension to its range of expression. Recent vintages have seen the inclusion of Mouvedre to add a further element of intrigue to the mix. Feminine, seductive, beguiling and elegant with hints of cherry and spice. This is an enormously long lived wine with the vintages from the early 80s still vibrant and full of life. Underhill Shiraz 100% Shiraz sourced exclusively from the 1973 planted 8 acre block of Shiraz at the western extremity of Yarra Yering. A slight westerly aspect & vines rooted in a clay-based soil provide a wine that is a perfect foil for our more feminine Dry Red Wine No. 2. Darker, more rustic elements abound black fruits, savouriness, spice and underpinning stalkiness all entwine the chewy tannins. A higher percentage of stalks are added back to lend juiciness plus extra cut and persistent tannins to the sweeping finish. Aged in 1/3 new French oak. Dry Red Wine No.3 Dry Red No 3 is made from Yarra Yering 1990 plantings of the classic Portuguese grape varieties Touriga Naçional, Tinta Cão, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Alvarelhão & Sousão. Each of the varieties contribute something desirable to the final blend, whether it be fruit flavour and/or aroma, colour, tannin, acidity or a combination of these. A dry table wine, deeply coloured & richly complex. Exotically fragrant effusing a pot-pourri of spices harmonised with plum & sour cherry. Medium-bodied & impeccably balanced, its weight & fine tannins provide a framework for a memorable wine, a blend ahead of its time. Agincourt Cabernet Previously released under the moniker New Vineyard Dry Red Wine No. 1, Agincourt consistently shows more upfront fruit, richness, and generosity in youth than the Dry Red No. 1. Although vinified under the same practices, albeit minus the malbec & petit verdot and 20-odd years of vine age, it reveals its own identity with characteristics that are inextricably linked to its different site. It acts as a worthy foil to the more restrained austerity of the Dry Red Wine No. 1. VINTAGE 2006 (Cabernet Merlot) VINTAGE 2007 (Cabernet Merlot) 92 Points James Halliday, Wine Companion (Cabernet Merlot) 89 Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate VINTAGE 2011 (Cabernet Malbec) 94 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion

Carrodus Cabernet Merlot Drawn exclusively from the top most westerly section of the 1969 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot plantings, this wine is made with the express purpose of highlighting the iconic attributes of Yarra Yering; pronounced but integrated tannins, natural acidity and intensity of fruit. VINTAGE 2007 96 Points James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 93 Points Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate 97 Points James Halliday, Wine Companion 2016

Carrodus Merlot This Merlot is made from the original 1969 plantings. More Pomerol than Padthaway, this wine makes a grand statement for Merlot. It absorbs its 100% new oak into its fabric and carries its red fruits and silky tannins through seamlessly. Intensely varietal, finely balanced, bright, bold and sumptuous. 100% new oak. Powerful and plush. VINTAGE 2007 96 Points Jeremy Oliver, The Australian Wine Annual 96 Points Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

Potsorts (Vintage Fortified) A vintage fortified wine made from a purpose-planted terraced block of the Portuguese grape varieties Touriga Naçional, Tinta Cão, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, and Alvarelhão. Paying homage to the classic Portuguese Vintage Ports, Yarra Yering plantings date back to 1990, embodying the forward-thinking continuance & evolution of the Yarra Yering vineyard. Powerful, concentrated & complex. Intensely aromatic, redolent of star anise & plums, lusciously warm & rich, it will reward years of patience & careful cellaring.
