VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Joseph Rogers Beautification Day We would like to invite everyone to our school on Saturday, September 29 to help with landscaping. We are going to be pulling weeds, trimming bushes, and laying rock. Please join us on September 29 beginning at 7:30am. If you have tools, bring them, but we will also have some available. Water will be provided throughout the day, and pizza will be served at lunch for all volunteers. The classroom with the biggest percentage of volunteers will win a movie and popcorn party. Please join us for a fun day of yardwork!
Deadline: September 30, 2018 The Rose Scholars Program, founded by NBA Star Derrick Rose, offers one scholarship of $200,000 (paid out $25k per semester for 4 years) and two scholarships of up to $20,000. The scholarships are open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA and a 1230 SAT score and/or a 21 ACT score, who are civically minded and display leadership qualities. Applicants must complete an online application that requires SAT scores, extracurricular activities, and an essay.
