HISTORY In 1952 Mr. and Mrs. Earl D. Hurst purchased a farm located along Oregon Pike in Manheim Township. Mom and Pop Hurst dreamed of serving their neighbors and friends with fresh products from their farm. In 1974 they built and operated a small dairy store where they sold fresh milk, eggs and produce. The Hurst Family business was so popular and successful they decided to build a new store, which was completed in 1979. Since then, Oregon Dairy has undergone many changes: In 1986 a cafeteria was added In 1988 the retail sales area of the store was enlarged In 1993 the cafeteria was renovated into a family restaurant Oregon Dairy is a family-friendly supermarket, restaurant and gift shoppe with an award-winning bakery all on a working Lancaster County dairy farm.
