FIOLA PENN QUARTER WASHINGTON, D.C. RAPPAPORT TRANSFORMS CHALLENGED SPACE TO HOME OF MICHELIN STAR Rappaport was representing the owner of a trophy office building when restauranteurs Fabio and Maria Trabocchi returned to D.C. The building had a former restaurant space that lacked visibility. Rappaport lured the couple to consider our client s mid-block space, foreseeing their potential to establish a top-rated destination that would thrive despite the visibility challenges. The Trabocchi s signed and blessed D.C. with the culinary elegance and luxury of Fiola, a restaurant serving rustic Italian food in an upscale atmosphere. DISTRICT DISTILLING U STREET CORRIDOR WASHINGTON, D.C. When District Distilling Co. was conceptualized, there was a law that prevented the manufacturing of liquor within a restaurant s premises. Our client was passionate enough to get the law changed to legalize its retail concept, and Rappaport matched their passion in the hunt to identify the perfect location. Rappaport secured a location for District Distilling Co. in the bustling 14th and U Street corridor - an ideal setting for serving a unique urban distilling and dining experience. Through relationship leverage and strategic negotiation Rappaport was able to preserve this site for our client during the four year legislation process.

VIENNA SHOPPING CENTER VIENNA, VIRGINIA There was an opportunity to revamp the Vienna Shopping Center space and make it better suited for today s retail market. The large anchor space lease of this well-established, well-located complex was expiring, so Rappaport lead its client to renovate and modernize the entire Vienna Shopping Center, attracting popular retailers like Chop t, Taco Bamba, MOD Pizza and Cava Mezze. This transformation added value for the landlord and powered the shopping center with new energy from the new mix of tenants.
