THE STORY In 1972 Kay and Dirk Dierkhising built Kay s Kitchen so St. Joseph would have a family diner where people could eat and get the news. In 2009 the restaurant was purchased by Tanya (Dierkhising) Finken. Tanya worked her way through high school and college at Kays Kitchen washing dishes, cooking and of course serving customers. Today you might see Tom & Tanya s daughters carrying on the family tradition of serving the customer and community of St. Joseph.
