The MMGA semiannual scramble tournament was held just a few days back we had a great turnout (64 players) and another sudden death showdown to decide the winners. The team of Bob Keating, Jerry Berryhill. David Fitch, and Nick Vandewerker edged out the team of Matt Laverghetta, Don Tubbs, Rich Page, and Craig Arnold in a one hole playoff, third place team Alvin Dennis, Mike Kowalski, Denny Bettisworth, Ace Rossom, fourth place team, John Buono, Charles Wolff, Mike Russomano, Roy Bradford, Fifth place Ralph Beighley, Lee Fjeld, Jim Woodle, Jim Dubsky. Thanks to all who participated and remember we will have another one in the spring! Dave was a General Manager of a Hydraulic Remanufacturing company and Sis was a teacher and grocery store pricing specialist. They both enjoy golf and traveling. Congratulations to our new Hole in One Member: We had a wonderful closing dinner at the Crown & Shield celebrating another great year. It is amazing to realize that there were 165 birdies achieved through the year, with 19 of them by Reka Reaktenwalt. In addition, four people (Linda Hodgson, Evelyn Weasner, Karen Kozlowski and Betty Hudi) scored eagles and three people, (Linda Carey, Linda Shultz and Betty Gibson) got Holes-in-one. Marie Marvil played the most rounds (32), Nancy Beighley was the most improved and Linda Carey was the T cup winner. Alvin Dennis, #4 - December 20 MWGA Betty Gibson Happy New Year to Everyone. We are excited to start 2018 with our new board of Evelyn Weasner President, Christa Bowen Vice-President, Linda Carey Secretary and Betty Gibson Treasurer. We welcome all lady members of Monarch to join our organization and play and socialize with us on Thursdays. Dues are $35 for the year 2/3 of which covers the Closing dinner at the end of the year. Games for January will be *Par 4 s *Mutt & Jeff *Best 9 Front or Back *Low Net. Sue Scappaticci and Judy Keating are in charge of the games this year. Looking forward to seeing you all out there. One cold day in December, the ladies had an ugliest sweater contest. The winner was Betty Danish: Most recent flight winners are: Reka Reaktenwalt, Coreen Corbin and Barbara Kowalski for Par 4 s, Reka, Dot Viera and Beth Skelly for Best 9 and Reka, Bev Race and Christa Bowen for Beat Par. Do I see a pattern here? 3

Thanks to all the volunteers that helps the maintenance staff with all the flower beds. Here s to a better 2018. Satellite Boxes: Before After 2017 HOLE IN ONE s Betty Danish Terry Stephenson-Maintenance The irrigation project is going along well. As of December 22nd, they have finished the entire back 9 greens plus #3 & #8. The remaining greens will be started again on January 2 nd. We are also putting in new satellites & redoing all our programs to make us even more efficient with water & electricity on the entire course.
