In an effort to enrich our classroom environment, we are asking each child to bring in a family picture with pictures of their child and family for display in every classroom. We would like to see our children enjoy them during the day and stay connected to their families. Reminders The cubby is your personal space to leave a change of clothes, blanket or small soft naptime toy. This is not a place to leave medicines, creams or snacks. The teacher and office will use this space to leave notes, papers and artwork for you to take home. Any medicine, lotion, cream, chapstick, sunscreen etc. need to have a medical authorization form filled out and given to the office. Please help us keep your children safe by checking in any medicine into the office and not leaving snacks in the cubbies. Winwood provides a morning snack at 9:00 to all children. If your child arrives early to Winwood you may bring in a small nut free snack item that they can enjoy at a table from 6:30 a.m. 7:00 a.m. One of the major requirements of Child Care Licensing is that we have a folder for each child. This folder must contain emergency contact information, proof of birth and a physical form completed by your child s doctor. Children under two years are required to have this form updated every six months. Our goal is to have NO folder violations on our next inspection and we will be doing an audit of all folders during the next few weeks to ensure this. If we are missing any information from your child s folder we will contact you and ask for your cooperation in returning the information to us in a timely manner. Please remember that all forms MUST be filled out completely. Thanks in advance for your help! Meet our staff of trained and enthusiastic educators! Discover what your child will be learning this year through an up-close look at our curriculum! Visit with other parents!

State regulations require that all children enrolled have proof of a yearly physical exam on file. To ensure the safety of all of our students we ask that while celebrating your child s birthday at the center, you limit the celebration to a special snack no parties, goody bags or balloons. If you would like to bring in a special snack on your child s birthday, please fill in the food approval form available at the front desk. Here is a list of approved choices; please see the office is you would like to do something different: Oreos Popsicles Breyers Vanilla Ice Cream Giant Peanut-Free Gold Cupcakes Ice Cream Cups Fruits Please carefully check the ingredient list of the food item. All food items should be nut-free and not manufactured in a facility that processes nuts. We cannot accept homemade food even they have a list of nut-free ingredients. We are kicking off Grandparent s Day on September 9th from 3pm-4pm by inviting our grandparents to celebrate with us! Should your child be blessed with grandparents nearby, they are cordially invited too! During this special event, the children and grandparents will: Complete a fun craft together Listen to a special story Get their picture taken together in a Photo Booth filled with props Enjoy a snack and light refreshments Tap chin with thumb of open hand Tap head with thumb of open hand Touch temple with thumb of right L hand and move down to rest on the left L hand Touch chin with thumb of right L and move down to rest on the left L hand.

Music Ms. Linda is our music teacher. Each class has the pleasure of music time each Thursday afternoon. Ms. Linda shares with our children music that she has written and also many favorites that you may recognize from your early learning years. She will teach the children songs that relate to our curriculum themes and also upcoming holidays. We will be having Soccer, Dance and Jr. Engineering classes More specific information regarding each of the above classes will be emailed when we have specific dates from the vendors.
