Since 1928 four generations have concurred with their work and passion to the growth of my winery. My great grandfather Bernardo, known as Cumot, was a share-cropper who with hard work and effort realized his dream: working on his own. He bought a farmhouse (named Rolando) with about 5 hectares of land, on a steep hill called Maiolica from the particular quality of the soil and so today called Bricco Maiolica. Our farm, which maintains its ancient name Bricco Maiolica, is still on that same hill in Diano d Alba. Bernardo Accomo s vineyards were almost all of Dolcetto grapes. He planted Barbera grapes on a contiguous plot of land he managed to buy in 1930 with money his wife Luigia - my great grandmother - that had inherited. Since hare was born the name "Vigna Vigia". Bernardo s son - my grandfather Giuseppe - had a passion for tannic wines und he began in 1950 to cultivate Nebbiolo grapes. In the 1970 with the purchase of land adjacent "Cascina Valdavi," my father Angelo, expanded the boundaries of the property and began the cultivation of white grapes. And here we are in the 1985, the crackdown, the turning point, Beppe Accomo, born 1963. I am grow up with the passion for the land and the vineyard, I follow, I take part and I supervise at the various agricultural operations. I decide not to simply sell the grapes or the bulk wine, so I start the controlled vinification and bottling. Our farm counts 24 hectares of excellent vineyards. We cultivate lowyielding vine varieties to obtain healthy and well ripened grapes, and we pay great attention to the environment, we use neither chemical fungicides nor mildew killers. The objective is, respecting the tradition, of transferring, as much as possible, my deep roots, my vocation, my character and my personality from the vineyard to the glass. In the 2009 I met Claudia Castella, today an active part of my reality. We are two people with the same values, that we speak the same language and that we always live for those are our origins. So in the 2013 the idea to unite and unify the two companies, Bricco Maiolica and Castella, with philosophy, tradition and experience, we will taking this new way together, new labels and the continuity of the farmhouse "Casa Castella." Someone would call us sons of art, but for us "langhetti", is the more usual term sons of farmers, because only we know the stories and then the hard life that we have scratched, as it is an art work in the vineyard and produce wine. CONTROLLED AND GARANTITED DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN A classic Dolcetto, with all the freshness of spring bottling. It is matured in steel tanks for 8 months. An excellent wine for the whole meal: from hors d oeuvres to first courses (pasta, polenta, soups) and main courses of white meat. It is an ancient tradition to offer, as a snack, Dolcetto with salami and the tuma of Langa (a semiripened cheese made with ewe s and goat s milk). Best served at 18 C. 100% Dolcetto grapes. 3 ha vineyard (about 15.000 bottles). Planted in 1980. Facing south-east (350-380 meters above sea level). Deep red coloured with violet shade. Delicate bouquet with hints of ripe cherry. Fruity flavour with a pleasant almond aftertaste. BARBERA D ALBA This Barbera is very pleasant and easy to drink, in spite of 13 alcoholic strength. This wine is our traditional Barbera, it is matured in steel tanks for 10 months. It s a very fruity wine with sensation of currant, bilberry, black cherry, plum and mulberry. This Barbera very velvety, with little acidity, matches well with easy food (pizza, salami, barbecued meat) and soft unripe cheeses. It is ideal with the typical bagna caöda. Best served at 16 C. 100% Barbera grapes. 2 ha vineyard (about 12.000 bottles). Planted in 2003. Facing south west (350 370 meters above sea level). Ruby coloured. Fruity bouquet with hints of red currant and nectarine. Crisp flavour, pleasantly acidulous.

NEBBIOLO From our vineyards planted with Nebbiolo, the same which give birth to our Cumot, we have created a young, elegant and soft wine for easy consumption and the classic convivial moments. It is matured in steel tanks for about 10 months, it is then bottled in the July following its harvest. It matches with a simple cooking and it is suitable throughout the meal. Best served at 18 C. 100% Nebbiolo grapes. 3 ha (about 15.000 bottles). Planted in 1995 and 2003. Facing south-east (350-380 meters above sea level). Ruby coloured. Fruity bouquet with hints of raspberry, strawberry and res currant. Smooth flavour, fresh and delicate with mild tannins. Until now, our farmhouse had always produced only red wines in mono-grapevine, three native and two international grapevines, cultivated in our vineyard and turned to wine in pureness. This year the turning point: here is the Tris, a red wine which fills, from a commercial point of view, the missing link for tasters and consumers who love those wines which have different organoleptic features and who look for rounder wines. Tris is a blend of Barbera, Dolcetto refined in steel tanks and Merlot which makes fermentation in tanks of the same kind and which ages for 9 months in 225L French oak barrels, used for the second and third time. The Tris is bottled during the August following the grape harvest. This wine is harmonious, soft, round, lasting in taste and fruity, with a flavour of cassis, plum, violet and small wild fruits, mixed with a light final taste of vanilla. It is a certainly very attractive wine to be sold in wine bar. It is perfect with happy hours, appetizers and with the simple but of good quality food. Best served at 18 C. A blend of Barbera 40%, Dolcetto 30% and Merlot 30%. 2 ha vineyard (about 10.000 bottles). Produced in the borough of Diano d Alba, in our vineyards. Harmonious, soft, round and fruity with hints of cassis, plum, violet, wild fruits and vanilla.

BARBERA D ALBA SUPERIOR The Bricco Maiolica vineyard is located between the borough of Diano d Alba and the borough of Alba. The Vigna Vigia vineyard, in the borough of Alba, presents the best characteristics for Barbera d Alba. This Barbera, after about 18 months in oak barrels becomes round and velvety in flavour, with no acid aftertaste. The fragrance of fruits and vanilla given by the oak barrels combines with the wine s strong body to produce new, opulent flavours. This Barbera is excellent with rich meat dishes, such as the typical mixed boiled meats. It is equally a good match with fat, soft-ripened cheeses. Best served at 18 C in a wide-mouthed wine glass to reveal the complexity of its bouquet and flavour. BARBERA D ALBA DENOMINAZIONE DI ORIGINE CONTROLLATA SUPERIORE 100% Barbera grapes. 2 ha vineyard (about 8.000 bottles). Planted in 1974 and 2000. Facing south (330 350 meters above sea level). Deep ruby coloured, with garnet red shades. Crisp bouquet with hints of plum and vanilla. Full flavour, balanced tannins, with hints of wood underneath. NEBBIOLO D ALBA SUPERIOR A local tradition wants Nebbiolo d Alba made in the area on the right side of Tanaro river, near Alba, between the Barolo and Barbaresco areas. There, Nebbiolo maintains a good round body, even if soft, delicate and with little tannin. Cumot is a pleasant and long-lived wine in fact it keeps its bouquet of fruits and vanilla. It reaches maturity after about 18 months in small oak barrels. It s perfect with rich meat and game dishes, such as braised hare. Excellent with matured cheeses from the Cuneo Alps, such as Raschera and Castelmagno. Best served at 18/20 C in a wide-mouthed wine glass to appreciate its bouquet which, with ageing, reveals hints of spices. NEBBIOLO D ALBA DENOMINAZIONE DI ORIGINE CONTROLLATA SUPERIORE 100% Nebbiolo grapes. 2 ha vineyard (about 8.000 bottles). Planted in 1983. Facing south east (350 380 meters above sea level). Ruby coloured, with garnet red shades. Delicate bouquet, with hints of ripe fruits, liquorice and vanilla. Full flavour, balanced tannins, with hints of wood underneath.

BAROLO CONTROLLED AND GARANTITED DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN We had both an ambition and after joining our energies together we realized it: to have a vineyard from Nebbiolo of Barolo. We are engaged to look for this vineyard and we found it in our town and the production began with the harvest 2012. Called Contadin (pronounced in Piemontese dialect "Cuntadin") in honor to our roots and in the label the dry figure of Simon, important support in the research of this vineyard. The Contadin is a traditional Barolo fermentated in steeltanks using an ancient method called "a cappello sommerso" and it is refined in oak barrels of Slavonia of 20 hl for 24 months, then it is matured in bottle for about 8 months. This wine is perfect with roast, boiled meats, braised, wildmeat and hard cheeses of medium and long aging. Best served at 18 /20 C. 100% Nebbiolo. 0,5 ha vineyard (about 3.000 bottles). Facing east (300 meters above sea level). Garnet red coloured with orange shades. Rich bouquet with hints of plum, liquorice, spices and truffles. Full flavour, tannic and balsamic. PINOT NERO This wine is the result of Beppe Accomo s obstinate passion for experimentation: he planted this great Burgundy species of vine right at the top of the Bricco Maiolica vineyard. The body and the character of this long-lived wine are surprising as well as its round yet delicate flavour. Its rich body suggests the propensity to ageing in the cellar. It is matured slowly: after 3 years (for about 18 months in barrels) it is still very young. The first crop of grapes was harvested in 1995. It s perfect with the traditional first courses of Langhe and roasts. It is equally excellent with great international dishes such as terrines, pâtés, soufflés, fondues and fish with tomatoes and olives. Best served at 18 C in burgundy glasses to appreciate its elegance and its refinement. 100% Pinot Noir grapes. 1 ha vineyard (about 4.000 bottles). Planted in 1993. Facing east (360 380 meters above sea level). Garnet red coloured. Rich bouquet, with a scent of berries and vanilla. Round fine flavour, with hints of wood Underneath. MERLOT Producing Merlot in the Langhe area is a significant challenge (I believe) noble and rewarding such as the one that was necessary to produce Pinot Nero. This unmixed Merlot is so interesting, complex and attractive that it will surely make people who look for those characteristics fall in love with this wine. The first harvest was in 2001, a brilliant vintage which allowed us to debut with an excellent wine. Beppe Accomo decided to name this Merlot Filius as dedication to his children. It is matured for about 18 months in small oak barrels. Filius is a wine which should be served with rich and well-seasoned dishes, but it matches equally well with rich and matured cheeses. Best served at 18 C in large format burgundy glasses in order to fully appreciate the complexity of its bouquet. 100% Merlot grapes. 1 ha vineyard (about 4.000 bottles). Planted in 1998. West facing (320 350 meters above sea level.) Deep ruby red. Ripe and intense red fruit with refined notes of vanilla. Wild berries, prominent tannins, balsamic hints and tobacco. PINOT NERO MERLOT

SAUVIGNON Since vintage 2012, a new white wine Castella with 100% Sauvignon Fumè. The grapes after a soft pneumatic press, to make a fermentation in inox tanks at 20 /22 of temperature, and after to have 4 months at contact with the nobil yeasts. This is a fresch, young and aromatic white wine, very good for aperitif and with fish and white meat. Best served at 10/12 C. CHARDONNAY This wine is composed of Chardonnay grapes, it is fermentated in steel tanks and after it remaine at contact with the nobil yeasts for about 6 months, in March it is ready to make a bottling. It is flowery in summer and fruity in autumn, thanks to its body it is excellent with hors d oeuvres and veal in tuna sauce. It is a perfect match with cold and mainly baked fish dishes. Very good for aperitif. It served at 10 C in large wine glasses to reveal its mutable and its aromatic complexity. denominazione di origine controllata SAUVIGNON 100% Sauvignon Fumè grapes. 1,0 ha Vineyard (about 8.000 bottles). Planted in 2003. Facing west (350 metres above sea level). Yellow coloured with green reflect. Intense fruits bouquet about apricot and melon sentation. Full tasted rich fruity and dry. denominazione di origine controllata CHARDONNAY 100% Chardonnay grapes. 1 ha vineyard (about 6.000 bottles). Planted in 2004 Facing south west (350 370 meters above sea level). Straw coloured. Delicate bouquet with hints of banana, pineapple and vanilla. Full flavour, fruity and dry.

CHARDONNAY The grapes of Chardonnay, belonging to our oldest vineyard, are rich and complex. Our project started with the harvest 2005, the must ferments in French oak barrels for about 50 days, then, in the same environment the malo-lactic fermentation occurs. After the fermentations, begins the long period of enrichment in dried extracts, in pulp and in the intensity of the taste takes place, throw the weekly batonnages, for 30 months, without racking off. This Chardonnay in pureness is called Pensiero Infinito, that is produced in bottles, instead the magnum has an art label different every vintage, reproducing a painting which represents a moment, a person, an event or a place which our family didn t want to forget. We produce each harvest over the bottles, 1000 magnums numbered in a progressive way from n 1 to n 1000 with a single packaging in wood. Best served at 12/14 C in large format burgundy glasses to appreciate its finesse, elegance and harmony. 100% Chardonnay grapes. 1 ha vineyard (about 3.000 bottles). Planted in 1989. Facing West (340 meters above sea level). Deep yellow coloured with golden shades. Intense bouquet with a scent of tropical fruit and vanilla. Elegant and long lasting fruity flavour.
