The Tasting Room THE WINERY Angels Garden The Tasting Room The distinctive Grande Provence vintages reflect the passion and enthusiasm of our wine-making team. The award-winning collection consists of; Pinot Noir, Viognier Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot/Cabernet red blend, Rosé and a Muscat D Alexandrie Dessert Wine. The Estate s first flagship wine, The Grande Provence Red 2004, was launched in October 2007 and has gained top awards recognition ever since. The Restaurant The Shop The Gallery THE RESTAURANT While the 18th century Manor House and The Owner s Cottage reflect their Huguenot heritage, The Restaurant and wine tasting area of Grande Provence project a chic industrial presence. Designed by renowned interior designer Virginia Fisher whose work can also be seen at sister properties Huka Lodge, New Zealand and Dolphin Island in Fiji. Regular exhibitions are held with the major disciplines being shown throughout the year. The Sculpture Garden has a continually evolving collection of monumental works in a variety of media. We have a team of specialists who can design and create a truly unique experience. THE OWNER S COTTAGE The Owner s Cottage at Grande Provence is a testament to period grandeur and contemporary luxury. Comprising the beautifully appointed Cottage are four rooms, a deluxe suite, conservatory, lounge, swimming and spa pool area. Blanketed in a palette of charcoal grey and white linen, the rooms beckon an indulgent experience. Lush lawns edged with dark green hedges contrast with creamy travertine tiles and inset pebbles, while white walls delineate the deck chairs and lounging areas, juxtaposing the cool and crisp swimming pool. DIRECTIONS AND GPS From Cape Town (+/ one hour) Take the N1 highway to Paarl. Take exit number 55 Paarl-Main Road/Franschhoek. Turn right at the bottom of the exit and drive for 1.3 km, passing under the N1 highway. Turn left into the R45 to Franschhoek at the Franschhoek sign. From Stellenbosch (+/ 30 minutes) Take the Helshoogte Pass (R310) toward Franschhoek (+/ 16km). As you make your way over the pass, you will drive through the village of Pniel. Towards the end of the pass you will see Boschendal Wine Estate on your right-hand side and cross a railway line before reaching a T-junction. At the T-junction, turn right onto the R45 to Franschhoek.
