DAVID RIO PREMIER CHAI We at David Rio love animals. So, we named each variety of our chai line after an endangered species, and we support animal welfare organizations. We pride ourselves in hand selecting premium ingredients, including quality teas and real spices. Each product is certified Kosher, gluten free and contains no hydrogenated oils or trans fats. David Rio chai can be enjoyed hot, blended or over ice. Our chai varieties are available in three convenient sizes: foodservice bags, retail canisters, and single serve packets. ANIMAL WELFARE As a part of our corporate philosophy to support endangered species, David Rio has maintained partnerships with local, regional, and international animal welfare organizations since 1996. In 1999, we commemorated our signature Tiger Spice Chai by adopting Thor, a rescued Bengal Tiger living at Cat Tales Zoological Park in Washington. David Rio proudly donates a percentage of our profits from Tiger Spice Chai sales to the International Fund for Animal Welfare s (IFAW) campaign to protect endangered tigers in the wild. In 2011, our donations helped IFAW alert Chinese authorities to the illegal trade of tiger bone wine at an auction house in Beijing, prompting the Chinese government to stop the sale.
