Harmful when swallowed. A mild eye and light skin irritant. Extremely toxic to fish and crustaceans and moderately toxic to many species of birds and other animals. Dangerous to bees. Store in closed original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area away from food and feedstuffs. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. Do not apply as a space spray. Do not spray directly on humans, pets or animals or onto surfaces where uncovered food is stored or food is prepared. Do not apply BITHOR TM Dual Action Insecticide to animal housing if animals were treated with non-related pesticides. In case of poisoning call a doctor and make this label available to him. PRECAUTIONS Avoid contact with eyes and skin and do not inhale spray mist. Wear protective clothing (cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat, elbow-length PVC, neoprene or nitrile gloves, appropriate footwear and face shield) when handling the concentrate and during application. Do not eat drink or smoke whilst applying or mixing or before washing hands and face and change of clothing. Wash contaminated clothing daily. Wash hands and face after handling. Do not use in the presence of persons with known sensitivity to pyrethroids. In case of signs of sensitivity, obtain medical advice. Before spraying, remove pets and other animals from areas to be treated and cover or remove fish ponds, aquariums, etc. Cover or remove any open food and water containers. Prevent contamination of rivers, dams and areas not under treatment. Clean spray equipment thoroughly after use and dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers or dams. Triple rinse the empty container in the following manner: Invert the empty container over the spray or mixing tank and allow to drain for at least 30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter rinse the container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container. Add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container in the prescribed manner. Destroy empty container by perforation and flattening and never use for any other purpose. Empty containers and product should not be burnt. Prevent contamination of food, feed, eating utensils and drinking water. 2

SYMPTOMS OF POISONING Overexposure to bifenthrin may lead to bleeding from the nose, tremors and convulsions, incoordination, salivation, vomiting, diarrhoea, and irritability to sound and touch. Skin contact may produce sensations such as numbing, burning and tingling. In severe cases of poisoning imidacloprid causes an apathetic state, depressed muscular tone, respiratory disturbances and trembling and muscular cramps. FIRST AID TREATMENT Skin contact: Irritation is unlikely. However, if irritation does occur, flush with lukewarm, gently flowing water for 5 minutes or until chemical is removed. If in doubt obtain medical advice. Eye contact: No effects expected. If irritation does occur, flush contaminated eye(s) with lukewarm, gently flowing water for 5 minutes or until the product is removed. Obtain medical advice if irritation becomes painful or lasts more than a few minutes. Ingested:Do NOT induce vomiting. Wash mouth with water and contact a Poisons Information Centre, or call a medical doctor. Inhaled: No first aid measures normally required. However, if inhalation has occurred, and irritation has developed, remove to fresh air and observe until recovered. If irritation becomes painful or persists for more than about 30 minutes, seek medical advice NOTE TO PHYSICIAN There is no known antidote. Treat symptomatically with supportive care. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Use only as indicated MIXING INSTRUCTIONS SHAKE CONTAINER WELL BEFORE OPENING. This product is to be diluted with water prior to application. For best results, make a premix of the required amount of product with an equal volume of water and stir thoroughly. Fill sprayer to half of desired volume with water and add premix. Agitate thoroughly and then fill sprayer to desired volume with water and agitate again to ensure proper mixing. Agitate prior to application if spraying is interrupted. Do not store the prepared spray mixture. Prepare only enough spray mixture to complete the day s work. APPLICATION Apply diluted insecticide by means of a knapsack sprayer or other suitable spraying equipment capable of delivering a coarse spray directly onto exposed surfaces frequented by pests. Spray to the point of run-off ensuring thorough coverage of all treated surfaces. Semi-porous surfaces e.g. painted cement and wood and unpainted wood: apply mixture at a rate of 1 litre per 15 m 2. Porous surfaces e.g. cement and carpet: apply mixture at a rate of 1 litre per 10 m 2. For perimeter treatments, apply the prepared spray mixture to a band of soil two to three metres wide around and adjacent to the structure. Also treat the foundation of the structure to a height of approximately one metre. Moet nie BITHOR TM Dual Action Insecticide toedien aan dierebehuising indien dit met ander nie-verwante plaagdoders behandel is nie. In geval van vergiftiging ontbied n geneesheer en toon hierdie etiket aan hom. VOORSORGMAATREËLS Voorkom aanraking met oë en vel en moet nie spuitnewel inasem nie. Dra beskermende klere (katoenoorpak toegeknoop tot by nek en pols, n wasbare hoed, elmbooglengte PVC-, neoprene- of nitrielhandskoene, toepaslike skoeisel en gesigskerm) wanneer konsentraat hanteer word en gedurende toediening. Moet nie eet, drink of rook tydens vermenging of toediening of voordat hande en gesig gewas en ander klere aangetrek is nie. Was besoedelde klere daagliks. Was hande en gesig na hantering. Moet nie in die teenwoordigheid van persone wat sensitief is vir piretroïede, toedien nie. Indien tekens van sensitiwiteit voorkom, kry mediese hulp. Verwyder troeteldiere en ander diere uit die area wat behandel gaan word en bedek of verwyder visdamme en- tenks ens. Bedek of verwyder alle onbedekte voedsel en waterhouers. In geval van toevallige aanraking met vel was besoedelde area onmiddellik met volop seep en water. Voorkom besoedeling van riviere, damme en areas nie onder behandeling nie. Maak spuittoerusting deeglik skoon na gebruik en raak van waswater ontslae waar die nie gewasse, weiding, riviere en damme sal besoedel nie. Spoel leë houer driekeer as volg uit: Keer leë houer om oor die meng- of spuittenk en dreineer vir minstens 30 sekondes nadat vloei tot n drup verminder het. Spoel die houer daarna driekeer uit met n volume water gelykstaande aan n minimum van 10% van die van die houer. Gooi die spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk voordat die houer op die voorgeskrewe wyse vernietig word. Vernietig leë houer deur gate daarin te maak en plat te slaan en moet nie vir geen ander doel gebruik nie. Leë houers en produk moet nie verbrand word nie. Voorkom besoedeling van voedsel, voer, eetgerei en drinkwater. SIMPTOME VAN MENSLIKE VERGIFTIGING Erge blootstelling aan bifentrin kan lei tot neusbloeding, bewing en stuiptrekkings, verlies aan koördinasie, speekselafskeiding, braking, diarree en geirriteerdheid met klank en aanraking. In aanraking met vel, kan dit n sensasie van brand, tinteling en n dooie gevoel veroorsaak. In erge gevalle van vergiftiging met imidaklopried kan n toestand van apatie, onderdrukte spiertoon, asemhalingsstoornisse en bewing en spierkrampe voorkom. NOODHULPBEHANDELING Aanraking met vel: irritasie is onwaarskynlik. Indien irritasie wel voorkom, spoel met louwarm, sagvloeiende water vir 5 minute of tot chemikalie verwyder is. Indien twyfel bestaan, kry mediese hulp. Aanraking met oë: Geen effekte word verwag nie. Indien irritasie voorkom, spoel besoedelde oog/oë met louwarm, sagvloeiende water vir 5 minute of tot chemikalie verwyder is, uit. Indien irritasie pynlik word of langer as 5 minute duur, kry mediese hulp Inname: Moet NIE braking veroorsaak nie. Spoel mond met water uit en kom in aanraking met n Vergiftigingsinligtingsentrum of kry n geneesheer. Inaseming: Geen noodhulpmaatreëls word gewoonlik benodig nie. Indien inaseming plaasgevind het en irritasie ontwikkel, verwyder pasiënt na vars lug en hou onder observasie tot herstel. Indien irritasie pynlik word en volhou vir meer as omtrent 30 minute, kry mediese hulp. NOTA AAN GENEESHEER Daar is geen teenmiddel bekend nie. Behandel simptomaties met ondersteunende sorg. 4

GEBRUIKSAANWYSINGS Gebruik slegs soos aangedui MENGINSTRUKSIES SKUD DIE HOUER DEEGLIK VOOR DIT OOPGEMAAK WORD. Hierdie produk moet met water gemeng word voor gebruik. Vir die beste resultate, meng die verlangde hoeveelheid van die produk met n gelyke volume water en roer deeglik. Maak die spuitapparaat half vol met die verlangde volume water en voeg die voorafgemengde produk by. Roer deeglik en vul die spuitapparaat dan met water tot die verlangde volume en roer weer om deeglike menging te verseker. Roer voor toediening indien bespuiting onderbreek is. Moet nie voorbereide mengsel bêre nie. Maak net genoeg spuitmengsel aan om die dag se werk te voltooi. TOEDIENING Dien die verdunde insekdoder toe deur middel van n rugsakspuit of ander geskikte spuittoerusting wat n growwe sproei direk op die ontblote oppervlak wat deur die plaag besoek word, lewer. Spuit tot die punt van afloop en verseker deeglike bedekking van alle oppervlakke wat behandel word. Herhaal bespuiting soos nodig. Dien die produk tot die punt van afloop toe. Dit is tipies as volg: Nie-poreuse oppervlakke bv. glas, geglasuurde teëls: dien mengsel teen 1 liter per 20 m 2 toe. Semi-poreuse oppervlakke bv. Geverfde sement en hout en ongeverfde hout: dien mengsel teen 1 liter per 15 m 2 toe. Poreuse oppervlakke bv. sement en mat: dien mengsel teen 1 liter per 10 m 2 toe. Vir omtrekbehandelings dien die voorbereide spuitmengsel toe in n band op grond van twee tot drie meter wyd om en teenaan die strukture. Behandel ook die fondasie van die struktuur tot n hoogte van ongeveer een meter. LET WEL Ensystex South Africa (Ensystex) waarborg dat hierdie produk aan die chemiese beskrywing voldoen en redelikerwys geskik is vir die doel soos op die etiket aangedui wanneer volgens die Gebruiksaanwysings gebruik word onder normale toestande van gebruik. Geen waarborg van verhandeling of geskiktheid vir n spesifieke doel, te kenne gegee of geïmpliseer, strek tot die gebruik van die produk strydig met die etiketinstruksies of van gebruike nie op etiket aangedui nie en nie deur Ensystex goedgekeur nie of onder abnormale toestande nie. 5
