3 About The Art of Dining WHO WE ARE The Art of Dining is a collaboration between Moro trained Chef Ellen Parr and set designer Alice Hodge, bringing London a unique series of pop-up culinary events. Set designer Alice Hodge is an art follower, creator, teacher and collector of tat. She has designed bespoke arrangements for weddings, parties, theatre productions and photo shoots. Interactive elements and attention to detail are what make her tick! Chef Ellen Parr spent her formative years working at Moro and you can taste the Middle Eastern and Spanish influences in her food. She recently travelled around South East Asia and India researching cooking methods, techniques and flavours. She also has an obsession with chilli sauce. Expect the unexpected with her unusual menus.
4 CONCEPT Hidden in the heart of Hackney is a little known Tudor gem called Sutton House, the oldest surviving domestic property in East London. The house has survived a rich and colourful past, being home to everyone from a Tudor secretary of state to 1980 s squatters, and has now been beautifully restored with authentic original décor, including Jacobean and Georgian interiors, an Edwardian chapel, an intimate parlour that boasts some of the most beautiful paneling in Europe and, of course, the Grand Chamber, where dinner will be served. Be transported back in time for an unforgettable festive feast in a gorgeous setting, and experience a magical evening of delicious food, plentiful wine and the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful historic property.

6 VENUE Sutton House was built in 1535 by Ralph Sadier, a courtier of Henry VIII, and has been witness to 500 years of Hackney s rich history as the home to merchants, sea captains, Huguenot silk-weavers, Victorian schoolmistresses, Edwardian clergy and punk squatters. Yet, it still retains the atmosphere of a Tudor home and the oak paneled walls, original working fireplaces and Tudor paintings make this a stunning backdrop for a festive party. After exploring the house, which includes rare oak paneled room The Linenfold Parlour and a wisteria-adorned courtyard, guests will feast in the Grand Chamber, where Henry VIII himself is believed to have dined. Sutton House is located close to both Hackney Central Overground and Hackney Downs station.

8 ENTERTAINMENT & DÉCOR The beautiful Grand Chamber or the Wenlock Barn (depending on the size of the party) will be decorated in the atmospheric and decadent style of a Tudor feast, complete with flickering candles and decorations inspired by flora and fauna. The tables will be laid with bespoke crackers, dark red roses, scattered fruit and nuts, feathers, gold and seasonal foliage. Guests will greeted on arrival with a welcome cocktail and take part in a treasure hunt that will enable them to explore this amazing property from top to bottom. This will be followed by a lavish five-course feast, served with plenty of red wine, in proper Tudor style.

Chef Ellen Parr will lead you on a culinary adventure through five courses of decadent and mouth-watering food, influenced by symbolic Tudor still-life paintings and real 15th century recipes.
