ŠUMI 139 YEARS OF SWEET MOMENTS Throughout its sweet 139-year history, ŠUMI has offered a wide selection of truly delicious masterpieces. Our secret formulas include various flavours and shapes of sweets. Caramels, jellies, gums and hard centre-filled fruit candies have a high content of natural fruit juice and various vitamins and minerals as their ingredients. SWEET SECRETS OF ŠUMI QUALITY In 2000, ŠUMI was the first Slovenian factory to receive the HACCP certificate. For years, its quality has been proven by numerous certificates - IFS, HALAL and many quality awards. The technological processes are automated and monitored using process control that ensures high quality products. The Šumi s roots go back to year 1876 when Mrs. Josipina Shumi started to manufacture candies and sweets in her small craft workshop. She manufactured all products manually and she was selling them in her own candy store. Over the years production became more and more sophisticated and technologically developed. Variety of shapes and flavours as well as high quality of SCHUMI candies were the best foundation for expansion of sales at home and abroad. Today ŠUMI is the only manufacturer of candies in Slovenia and it keeps bringing sweet delights to many customers all over the world for more than 139 years.
