Coconut Flour - from organic farming Organic coconut flour is made from fresh, white coconut meat. First it is dried, then the oil gets extracted. The press cake then is dried further and finely ground into a coconut flour. It is characterized by an intensive taste and its natural sweetness. The flour can be used as a 10-15% substitute for (wheat) flour in most recipes to increase the protein content. Also, the amount of sugar used can be reduced due to its sweetness. The inflorescence of the coconut palm tree is tapped and the sap is collected, filtered and heated under controlled temperatures. During the caramelization, small sugar crystals form our coconut blossom sugar. It is neither refined nor bleached. It dissolves easily and is characterized by a delicate flavour of caramel and high content of potassium and zinc. The biological diversity is protected as the coconut palm trees grow in their natural surroundings. Our suppliers are small scale farmers.
