Our menus and drinks package have been designed to enable you to create your own selection for you and your guests. In addition our Executive Chef is always happy to offer alternatives based on any special requests you may have. The Venue & Banqueting Suites Leeside Suite This suite is ideal for larger celebrations. There is ample space to cater for a sit down meal of 100 guests or a buffet reception for 150. This grand suite has an exclusive cocktail bar for your use and an extensive dance floor. Room hire is 200.00. Please note the late license is not available for this room. Celtic Suite For smaller parties the facilities of the Celtic Suite are just perfect. It provides a wonderful atmosphere and can allow you to cater for 60 guests with a sit down meal, or 100 with buffet reception. Once again our exclusive suite has a cocktail bar for reception drinks, and a dance floor. Room hire is 200.00. Accommodation All of our 52 bedrooms have been fully re-furbished to a high standard with en-suite facilities. We will be more than delighted to offer a special celebration tariff for guests attending your function. We would suggest that guests make a direct booking with our reservations team (Tel 0121-604-8111) stating that they are attending your event and will qualify for the agreed preferential rates. Resident Disco You may organise your own disc-jockey or you can contact our resident DJ, Steve on 0121 789 6798 who can also provide a karaoke. Licence Extension We are able to apply for a Licence Extension on your behalf at a cost of 45.00. This will enable the hotel to keep the bar open until 12:45am, with the suite being vacated by 1.00am. This is only available for the Celtic Suite. Car Parking We have extensive parking facilities for up to 130 vehicles, with CCTV security, available for you and your guests free of charge.
The Wedding Breakfast We have put together the following menu suggestions to make the choice as simple as possible. We have priced the main course so that you choose a combination of starter and dessert to cater for your tastes. This will also make the cost of the three courses uncomplicated for you to see. Children under the age of 11 receive 50% discount of the main menu or we can offer you a special children s menu. Children under the age of 3 eat for free. Evening Buffet We have chosen a number of popular buffet items for you to select for your evening reception. Just select the dishes and the number you wish to cater for. TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. GENERAL a) The person signing overleaf for and on behalf of the client warrants to the hotel that he has the authority to do so. b) The hotel agrees to provide and client hires the services set forth in accordance with the terms hereof. c) Any equipment or item specifically requested by you will be charged to your account. d) No signs, displays, posters or other material may be fixed to the walls of the hotel rooms without prior authorisation of the Hotel Management. e) The client must ensure that its employees and guests comply with all legislation applicable to the hotel and at all times obey the reasonable instructions of the hotel staff. 2. PAYMENT a) A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 100.00 is required in order to confirm your booking. b) A 25% pre-payment, based on the minimum guaranteed numbers at the minimum guaranteed menu spend, is required three months prior to the event. c) Full pre-payment is required 14 days prior to the event. d) If there is a query on parts of a bill it is agreed that the client will pay the balance on the due date. The part queried will be due as soon as the problem has been resolved. e) The agreed prices assume there will be no change in the rate of VAT or in the price of Food and Drink. If these assumptions are wrong the hotel has right to adjust the quoted price accordingly. 3. NUMBER OF GUESTS ATTENDING a) Provisional numbers will be given at the time of booking, a minimum guaranteed number will be set, and this number will be charged for should the actual numbered attending fall below this. b) Final numbers are required 2 weeks prior to the event. This number will be considered to be the guaranteed minimum and will form the basis of the charge. Any decrease on these numbers will be charged at the agreed per guest rate. c) In the event that the number of guests exceeds that booked, the hotel will make every reasonable endeavour to provide service and accommodation for the increased numbers and will charge appropriately for providing this service. The hotel cannot be held responsible for the failure to provide such accommodation or service. 4. CANCELLATION a) In the event of a cancellation, The Birmingham has a cancellation policy in order to keep our prices competitive. These are as follows: Over 12 weeks Up to 25% 6 to 12 weeks 25% 4 to 6 weeks 50% 4 weeks to 10 days 75% Less than 10 days 100% b) In every case, if we are able to re-let the room(s), the resulting revenue will be deducted from the cancellation charge. c) Any deposits or pre-payments, previously made are non-refundable. 5. CANCELLATION BY THE BIRMINGHAM The hotel reserves the right to cancel booking if: a) If any part of the hotel is closed or otherwise unavailable because of events outside the hotel s control. b) Either part becomes insolvent or, in the case of an individual becomes subject to a bankruptcy petition. c) The booking may damage the reputation of the hotel d) In these circumstances you are entitled to get any advance payments back, but the hotel would not have any other liability. 6. LIABILITY a) Property should be safeguarded at all times. The hotel will not accept any liability for loss or damage to property or death or illness of, or injury to persons, unless caused by the Hotel s negligence. The client is recommended to have adequate insurance cover. b) Care must be taken on use of anything which may be construed as hazardous or dangerous. If there is a safety risk on anything you may want to bring into the hotel, or if it may not meet with Local Government and Fire regulations, it must firstly be discussed with the hotel.
