Beat margarine, sugar, and powdered sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer until blended. Beat in egg and vanilla. On low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended. Divide dough into three portions. If too sticky to roll, cover and chill up to 2 hours. Preheat oven to 350. Roll one portion of dough at a time to 1/8 -inch thickness on a lightly floured surface (keep remaining dough in the refrigerator). Cut with a floured ghost shaped cookie cutter (or shape or choice). Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until light brown and no longer puffy. Cool 1 minute on baking sheets before transferring to cooling racks. When cool, decorate with colored icing if desired. After icing sets, store loosely covered. Page 5 of 5

Mystery Punch Makes 16 servings 1/4 cup lemon juice 1 teaspoon ginger ground 2 quarts apple cider or apple juice 3 cups water 1 12-ounce can frozen orange juice concentrate 1 frozen Hand "Ice Ring" (see below, optional) In a large pitcher or glass gallon jar, stir lemon juice and ginger until blended. Add cider, water and orange juice concentrate; stir until well blended. Cover and chill at least 1 hour or until well chilled. To serve cold, place punch in a large chilled punch bowl. Add ice ring. Serve in punch cups. To serve hot, place mixture into a 4-quart sauce pot. Over medium-high heat, bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a large insulated server, slow cooker or serving pitcher. Serve in heatproof cups or mugs. Page 6 of 6

Frozen Hand Ice Ring Red, blue or green food color if desired Water 1 new, disposable plastic or rubber glove* Twist tie or rubber band Add food color to water, if desired. Fill glove with water, fastening end with twist tie or rubber band. Hang hand from a shelf in the freezer and freeze at least 4 hours or until frozen solid. When frozen, cut glove from ice and place frozen "hand" in punch. *Some gloves come with a powdery coating inside to keep fingers from sticking. For this recipe, be sure to use a glove without an inside coating. Witch's Fingers: Use refrigerated bread stick dough. Cut each strip of dough in half crosswise to make two shorter strips. Twist each strip. Dip into melted margarine, then dip into grated Parmesan cheese or poppy seeds. Bake according to package directions. Jack-O'-Lantern Faces: Use one slice of bread and one round slice of yellow cheese or luncheon meat for each serving. Cut a face of a jack-o'-lantern out of each piece of cheese or luncheon meat. Place on a slice of buttered bread. Use some of the cut-out pieces for a stem or ears if desired. Ghoulish Snacks: Spread softened cream cheese on a slice of bread that has been cut into a circle or on a cracker. Make a face with raisins or small pieces of fruit. Page 7 of 7

Happy Chocolate Bats Makes 2 servings 1 3/4 cups flour 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon ground 3/4 cup sugar 1/3 cup vegetable shortening solid 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 egg large 1 tablespoon milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Beat sugar, shortening, butter, egg, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl with electric mixer until well blended. On low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture. Divide dough in half. Cover and chill 3 hours. Preheat oven to 375. Roll half of the dough at a time to 1/4 -inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut with a floured bat-shape cookie cutter. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until firm to the touch. Cool on wire racks. When cool, decorate with colored icing if desired. After icing sets, store loosely covered. Page 8 of 8

Bloody Popcorn Popped Popcorn Melted Butter Red Food Coloring Prepare your popcorn and melt your butter to go over the popcorn. Add some red food coloring to the melted butter. Pour the mixture over the popcorn and serve. Page 9 of 9

Marshmallow Ghosts 12 large Marshmallows 2 Cups White Chocolate Chips 12 Lollipop Sticks Black Cake Decorating Paste Pour the white chocolate chips in a microwave save dish. Microwave on low for one minute and stir the chips. Continue microwaving in 30 sec intervals, stirring in-between. When most chips seem melted, stop microwaving and continue to stir. The carry-over heat will melt the remaining chips. Be careful not to overheat the melted mixture. It can easily burn if you microwave it for too long. Stick a marshmallow on the top of each lollipop stick. Dip each marshmallow in the melted white chocolate. Stick them marshmallow side up in a glass, making sure they do not touch each other. Put them in the refrigerator to cool completely (about 10 minutes). Use the black cake decorating paste to draw eyes and an open mouth (oshape) on the marshmallow. You can wrap them individually in cellophane, or stick a bunch of them in a cup to serve. Page 10 of 10

Sweet Bones 3 large eggs ¼ tsp cream of tartar 1/8 tsp of salt 2/3 cup of white sugar ½ tsp vanilla Preheat the oven to 200 F. Divide the eggs and discard the yokes. Add the egg whites, cream of tartar and salt. Beat them until you get soft peaks. Gradually beat in the sugar. Fold in the Vanilla. Place the Meringue mixture into a pastry bag. Spread some parchment paper out on a baking sheet. Pipe small bone shapes (about 3 inches long) on the paper. Bake for 1 hour, then turn the oven off, but leave the cookies in there for an additional hour. Serve on a dark colored plate for best effect. Page 11 of 11

Spooky Sandwiches Sliced Bread Pimento Cheese Halloween Cookie Cutter Spread pimento cheese on the sandwich bread. Top with a slice of bread to turn it into a sandwich. Use the cookie cutter to cut out Halloween shapes. If you don t have Halloween cookie cutters, or can t find any, free-hand cut the sandwiches with a knife into pumpkin, bat or ghost shapes. Arrange them on a platter and serve. Of course you could use different fillings for the sandwiches. Pimento cheese works well because of the bright orange color. Page 12 of 12
