The location Det Norske Teatret: one of the most renowned places of culture in the Scandinavian countries. The theatre has a wide and elegant "foyer" equipped to host different kinds of events: parties, product presentations, openings, etc... The foyer can be divided in up order to obtain spaces of different dimensions, to host groups from 20 up to 750 people. 2
Event programme 3 rd march 2014 10.30am / 4.30pm: Workshop dedicated exclusively to professionals (traders, Ho.Re.Ca., importers, representatives of the monopoly, sommeliers and journalists specializing in the tourist and wine and food sector). 4.30pm / 7.30pm: exclusively open to the public of wine lovers, with the participation of clubs members of the Norwegian Federation of Wine clubs (the only organizations able to promote wine in Norway (where alcohol advertisement is forbidden). 3
Event programme 3 rd march 2014 - seminars 9.00am: in-depth seminar on the wine market in Norway addressed exclusively to the producers present at the event. 11.00am: in-depth seminar entitled Nebbiolo, Evolution of a Great Vine Variety, dedicated exclusively to sector professionals: a presentation of a selection of pre-2004 Nebbiolo vintages by different producers from different areas, held (in English) by the president of the consortium i Vini del Piemonte, Andrea Faccio and and Lars G-Rein Helliese. 10.30am/4.30pm: Deepening addressed to representatives of the Norwegian monopoly, which will have the opportunity to taste the wines from Piedmont at a time dedicated to them. 4th March, in the evening: dinners and tastings for selected wine lovers in the presence of a selection of producers. 4
Lars G-Rein Helliesen Charismatic speaker, co-founder and partner of Gaia Wine & Spirits and professor of Italian wines at the Norwegian sommelier/wsat-education-school NS, Lars G-Rein Helliesen talks about Italian wine: "The interest for Italian wines grew from steadily the end of the 1990 s and from the second part of the last decade Italy passed France as most-selling wine producing country in Norway. But many italian regions and sub-regions have yet to show their potential". I appreciate Italian wines because they are made true to their terroir and the signature of the producer is visible in the glass". 5
