Rising above the hills in the Napa Valley is Castello di Amorosa, which translates to the castle of love in Italian. Castello di Amorosa is an authentically-styled 13th century Tuscan castle winery complete with high walls, five defensive towers and over 30 acres of estate vineyards. It was built over a 14-year period by pioneering Napa Valley vintner Dario Sattui, a fourth generation Italian American and owner of V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena, California. Yet the Castello is merely a backdrop to showcase some of Napa Valley s best wines. Castello di Amorosa produces only 25,000 cases each year, which are sold exclusively at the winery, direct to the consumer. Castello di Amorosa is renowned for hosting some of Napa Valley s most impressive events in a distinct style that can only be offered in an authentic 13 th century castle. Featuring 18,000 square feet of indoor event space and over 8,000 square feet of outdoor event space; unique venues at the Castello include outdoor terraces, wine caves, hidden rooms, an opulent dinner hall and an expansive courtyard. The event space you select will be filled with sophistication and artisanal craftsmanship, as well as a touch of royalty. At the center of our private events is our award-winning wine portfolio. Our events typically begin with our Spumante del Castello, a classic méthode champenoise sparkling wine, in celebration of our 10 year anniversary. Next, we will take you through some of our white wines, from a lively and crisp Pinot Grigio to a subtle Chardonnay. Finishing with our reds, which include a Pinot Noir that is elegant and refined and possibly our lauded Il Barone Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, an exceptional example of a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon blended from remarkable vineyards. The Hospitality staff of the Castello will customize and serve your event to be uniquely your own. They are artful masters in setting the stage, providing creative ideas, and arranging every last detail. Grand Barrel Room The Grand Barrel Room is an architectural masterpiece with its 40 ribbed, Roman cross-vaults all constructed from ancient brick shipped from Europe. This room includes a 40 foot, hand crafted travertine tasting bar and is our largest room for entertaining perfect for your large event! Accommodates up to 300 guests 10,890 square feet Sinalunga Cellar In the deepest parts of the Castello s winding tunnels and barrel filled hallways this beautifully vaulted room is tucked away waiting for your private event. Accommodates up to 80 guests 1,305 square feet
Courtyard The Courtyard is located in the heart of the Castello and is surrounded by walls of hand-squared stone and ancient brick, Tuscan-style breezeways and loggias. Courtyards were the center life in any Medieval castle, so it remains for your event. Vibrant during the day; majestic and regal at night. Accommodates up to 300 guests 3,496 square feet Lower Courtyard Just a few steps down and adjacent to the Courtyard is this centrally located but autonomous space. For events, this space is ideally used in conjunction with the Courtyard for lounge seating, special entertainment or dinner service. Accommodates up to 80 guests 1,236 square feet
Great Hall From that decadent multi-course meal to when the Knights come in for that rowdy Medieval banquet, the Baron of the Castello entertains in the Great Hall. With its hand-painted Italian frescoes, and Umbrian fireplace, the Great Hall is the Castello s most prestigious and most royal room for your event. Accommodates up to 180 guests 2,213 square feet Chapel Although our permit does not allow us to hold weddings at the Castello, we do have a beautiful Chapel. In addition to the simple authenticity this space adds to our Castello, the Chapel is often used as a gathering place for guests heading off to tour the Castello. It can also serve as a venue for a dinner reception or after-dinner event. Accommodates up to 80 guests 1,314 square feet
Terrace With breathtaking views of the Napa Valley, Calistoga and Mt. St. Helena, the Terrace offers a beautiful open air gathering place ideally nestled between the Castello towers. A perfect location for an intimate, al fresco event. Accommodates up to 80 guests 1,596 square feet South Tower Terrace Climb the winding stair case of our South Tower and explore the workings of our drawbridge on your way to this secluded gallery. The views it offers are unparalleled, and the ascent up the stairs is not for the faint of heart. Accommodates up to 40 guests 400 square feet
Il Passito Room The secluded and lavish Il Passito Room, perched high above the Courtyard, sets you apart from the Castello s Courtyard level. This exclusive area is dedicated to our Wine Club members, and is available for your private evening events Accommodates up to 80 guests 1,850 square feet Il Passito Patio Just outside of the Il Passito room is a hidden gem of the Castello. This secluded terrace has views of the hilltop watchtower as well as the crush pad below. It is also only a few steps from Lake Mario. Enjoy an outdoor grill event on the patio complete with a built in barbecue. An excellent venue for a luncheon or an open air reception. Open to the hillside, but unknown to most patrons of the Castello, it boasts some of the best sunset views in the Diamond Mountain region. Accommodates up to 100 guests 1,263 square feet
The perfect pairing with the wines of the Castello is the local cuisine available throughout wine country. The ideal food and wine pairing for your event is paramount. The Hospitality staff of the Castello collaborates in close partnership with a number of notable local caterers. Each catering partner offers the best of the terroir and a deep understanding of the unique wines and venues of the Castello. As part of the Hospitality services offered, our team will assist in the selection of a caterer and menu that is most suitable for your event.

Additionally, the staff will advise on wine and food selections that will be pleasing to the palates of your guests. All recommendations and arrangements of décor, audiovisual, entertainment, and rentals will be carried out by our highly seasoned team. A site fee is applicable to all events held at Castello di Amorosa.
