Sat. June 3 CAPTAIN GRIZZY POKER RUN Join the 9th Annual Capt. Grizzy Scholarship Poker Run for Bikes, Hot Rods & The Tiki Taxi in remembrance of our good friend Dennis Griswold. Dennis Griswold operated the Happiest Paddler Marina on Lake Pocotopaug, and was one of the founders of The Friends of Lake Pocotopaug. We lost a great friend when Dennis passed away on August 27, 2008. In remembrance of Dennis, a scholarship has been established to award a deserving East Hampton student who is pursuing a higher education with a concentration in environmental science. This is a great 70 mile run. Last year we had over 250 riders. This year s ride starts at Loco Perro, East Hampton and then makes stops at the Brown Derby, Lyme Tavern, Niantic, Tavern on 66, East Hampton and ends at Angelico s Lake House in East Hampton. Starting Location: Loco Perro, 26 East High Street, East Hampton Departure: Anytime between 10:30-12:00 moon Final Location: Angelico s Lake House, 81 North Main Street, East Hampton Party: Free Buffet (for riders) at the end of the ride at Angelico s Lake House Restaurant Music: Red Liners and Mixed Nuts Prizes: Prizes for the best and worst hands!!!
