The average cultivar in this series grows 2-3 feet wide in just a couple of years. They spread slowly from the crown and are very easy to divide if desired. Colors include gold, yellow, coral and pink. NEW for 2012! Mums A new series of perennial mums from Vermont Organics that are noted for their slightly later bloom time. The blossoms provide late season food for bees and beneficial insects as well as lovely late season color for the fall garden. Mammoth Mums A true perennial, this type grows even larger after the first season. Developed by the U of MN, they work well as individual plants, in mass plantings or used to form a seasonal hedge. Igloo Mums This newer series has the uniformity and flower power of a garden mum with better hardiness. The colors on these duplex daisies are vivid non-fading fall tones with attractive green foliage. No pinching required in the garden. Our staff has had good luck with these overwintering.
