REGION OVERVIEW-THE VENETO THE VENETO The Veneto is the leader in wine production in Italy, and has 30% of the total DOC/DOCG production. Premium wine producing regions are Vicenza, Padova, Treviso, in the western province of Verona hills between Lake Garda and the town of Soave, and in the eastern plains of the Piave and Tagliamento River basins. Conegliano, the region famed for Prosecco, has set the standard for not only the production of sparkling wines, but Italian viticulture overall. Of all the wines produced in this region, 55% of which are white, Soave is the most popular varietal abroad. And among the reds, Amarone della Valpolicella is the flagship red wine of this region. BRAND SUMMARY SUMMARY In 1883, a young innkeeper from the Veneto region named Abele Bolla decided to make and serve his own wine as a means of offering his guests a superior experience. His wine, Soave, quickly saw immense success, not only at his inn, but in the surrounding regions as well. His wine endeavors grew, and with them, the fame of Bolla on an international scale. In 1947, Fratelli Bolla made its first shipment to the United States 200 cases of Bardolino and America s love affair with Bolla wines began. Today, all award-winning Bolla wines are hand-harvested and created in Italy. The distinct flavors of the grapes can be attributed to the unique climate, soil and temperature of the region in which they are grown. Our goal is to capture those nuances so consumers will experience an authentic taste of Italy in every glass of Bolla wine. KEY PLAYERS Christian Scrinzi- Winemaker Christian Scrinzi has been a winemaker since 1989 and while he is Italian by origin, much of his formative training was undertaken in New World regions, including Chile, New Zealand, the United States and specifically Napa Valley; and in the Old World, France. Scrinzi joined Bolla in 2001, eventually took on a key role in the Revitalization Project that began in 2006, and was ultimately appointed head winemaker in 2009. His mission is a top-down renovation with the goal of improving quality, starting in the vineyards, moving through the cellars, and extending all the way to the finished wine in the bottle. Scrinzi is the interpreter of Bolla quality. It was his grandfather who gave him his early fascination with wine through their many excursions to the vineyards around their home in Trentino, a wellknown wine region in Northeast Italy. These early experiences led Christian to complete his studies in Agriculture and Oenology, then ultimately to Bolla, where he is the current Director of Oenology, responsible for creating the wines and carrying on the tradition of trusted quality that Americans have come to know and love. 6

U L T R A P R E M I U M T I E R ULTRA-PREMIUM TIER OVERVIEW LE ORIGINI RISERVA DOC FEATURES Hailed as the original Amarone. It was the first of its kind when the 1950 vintage was introduced. Vineyards are cultivated exclusively using the traditional Veronese pergola system, located in the high Marano and Negrar valleys. Aged 12 months in French oaks barrels and then 36 months in Slovenian oak casks. BENEFITS The highest expression, the Riserva, is aged longer, giving it more complexity and structure. Only the best vintages are offered with limited production. The 2009 vintage was awarded 90 points by erobertparker.com. AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO DOCG FEATURES One of Veneto s most famous wines, it has played a vital role in boosting the region s status in the wine world. Grown in the Valpolicella Classico region, grapes are selectively chosen for the appassimento process before fermentation, followed by 2-3 years of aging in Slavonian oak casks. BENEFITS Bolla Amarone has consistently delivered superior quality for the value. In 2015, the 2010 vintage received a silver medal at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition. Wide recognition of Bolla as a trusted name in wine, one that is appreciated by wine consumers and critics alike. CRESO ROSSO VERONA IGT FEATURES A Super Veronese, Creso is a blend of Corvina and Cabernet. The grapes are harvested from the finest vineyards with limited yields. With the Corvina, Creso showcases the very best of the Veronese tradition, while the international varietal Cabernet, provides a strong backbone. Born of a special process of re-fermentation with partially dried grapes, then aged in French barriques for a year, followed by 6 months of maturation in the bottle. Creso is neither a Rispasso nor an Amarone. BENEFITS A unique offering. As a Super Veronese, Creso is an intriguing addition to the US wine market. Its re-introduction comes at a time when the palate of the US wine consumer begins to favor more complex blended wines. Creso is a powerful, sophisticated wine that can stand up to Amarones and Cabernets alike. 10

U L T R A P R E M I U M T I E R AMARONE DESCRIPTION SHEET Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG Production Area: The upper hillside zone of Valpolicella Classico, Italy. Grape Varieties: 70% Corvina and Corvinone, 30% Rondinella and other local varieties. Description: Deep garnet, velvety-red in color, Bolla Amarone offers aromas of wild-cherry jam, spice and hints of cedar. It delivers rich, dry, black-cherry flavors and a finish that is long, round, and persistent with cacao and spice. Select grapes, with high sugar levels, are picked and then arranged on flat drawers that easily fit into racks (or wooden cases), allowing a good circulation of air. They are kept in a dry, cool, well-ventilated room and are cleaned and turned about every 20 days, being constantly inspected during the four-month natural drying period. This drying period, or appassimento, causes a 40% loss of juice, resulting in grapes low in juice but extremely high in sugar and varietal character. The dried grapes are pressed at the middle/end of February, and go through a cold maceration with skins and stems intact for about 20 days. The juice is then fermented for 25 more days and then transferred to barriques and large Slavonian oak casks for 24 to 36 months. Bolla Amarone pairs perfectly with red meats, roast and grilled dishes, game, braised meats, and all well aged cheeses. UPC Bolla Amarone 750ml 0 80516 65124 8 14

S U P E R P R E M I U M T I E R SOAVE CLASSICO 883 DESCRIPTION SHEET Soave Classico DOC 883 Production Area: Grape Variety: Description: Hills of Soave in the heart of the Classico zone, Italy. 100% Garganega. Pale straw in color with an intense fragrance of flowers and pear. The medium-bodied taste is harmonious and balanced with hints of lemon and acacia honey. Authentically Italian and a name to trust, Soave Bolla was the label that introduced Americans to white wine. Our 883 Selection is an alluring wine that gets its vigor from old vines deeply rooted in volcanic, limestone soils that line the sundrenched hillsides of the Soave Classico region. Delicate floral notes tempt the nose, while flavors of citrus highlighted by mineral tones and lively acidity engage the palate. Why is it called the 883 Selection? In addition to 883 referring to the year 1883 in which Bolla was founded, it is also suggested that the first container of Soave to arrive in the US was on bill of lading 883. Not only is this a great coincidence but certainly a big help in remembering the name 883 Soave Classico. Ideal for appetizers, grilled seafood, chicken, fish-based pastas, entrées and salads. Also makes a perfect aperitif. 28
