Objectives To turn the festival into a signature item on Hong Kong s events calendar by building on the inaugural success and enriching the festival s scale and content. To create a business platform for the catering, hotel and tourism sectors. To provide visitors and local residents alike with a quality experience, and to increase Hong Kong s international exposure and publicity, thereby reinforcing the city s image as the Culinary Capital of Asia. Three New Elements Grand Tasting Pavilion: a designated and specially arranged area to showcase premium wines. Sunset Tasting with Wine Collectors: HKTB Chairman Mr James Tien, HKTB Board Member Mr Peter Lam, and the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry have each donated a 6- litre premium wine for tasting. These three bottles of wine will each be opened between 29 and 31 October for tasting from 5pm to 6pm. The first 150 participants who purchase the Grand Tasting Pass for the day via Cityline will be entitled to the tasting*. Kitchen Session with Master Chefs: Michelin-starred chefs from Hong Kong and France will create dishes for participants to sample and pair with fine wines. 2 Booths Admission Over 230 booths will provide food and wine from all over the world with pairing tips and exhibit wine paraphernalia. About 172 wine booths will showcase various wine offerings from 16 countries, including Argentina, Australia, France (Bordeaux and other regions), Canada, Chile, Germany, Italy, Slovenia & Macedonia, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, the United States, as well as first-time participants China and Hungary. About 63 food booths will offer local award-winning dishes ranging from Chinese to Western and other Asian cuisines, including Bordeaux tasting plates, Chinese BBQ food and seafood, French and Italian delicacies, Japanese Sushi and Southeast Asian cuisines, and a variety of local delicacies. Also, there will be a Best of the Best Avenue to offer the locals and tourist the opportunity to try winning dishes of the Best of the Best Culinary Awards. Free admission 1) Grand Tasting Pass Original price is HK$300 (special price of HK$270 for American Express cardmembers), which includes: An electronic pass (for redemption of five wine tastings and five food samplings), a Stölzle wine glass and a souvenir*. Add-value service of the Pass for wine tasting is available at the cashier booth of the Grand Tasting Pavilion at HK$50 for each additional tasting. Grand Tasting Pass holders have the exclusive rights to enter and select any wine booth in the Grand Tasting Pavilion for wine tasting. Each tasting is about 40 ml. An array of fine culinary treats will be served by Ferrarini Pacific Limited, Ocean Pine Limited / Anba Associates Limited and Jean d Alos from Bordeaux. * Available while stock lasts.
3 2) Wine Pass Original Price is HK$200 (special price of HK$170 for American Express cardmembers), which includes: 12 wine tokens for wine tasting, a gift token to redeem a piece of Lucullus chocolate, a gift token for i-scream gelato, a gift token for Fuentes de Lebanza mineral water, a token for BlackBerry gift and a discount token for purchase of Stölzle products. A Stölzle wine glass and a souvenir will be provided*. Wine Pass holders are entitled to select wine from any wine booth (except the wine booths in the Grand Tasting Pavilion) for wine tasting. One to two wine tokens are required for one tasting. * Available while stock lasts. 3) Wine Token Each token costs HK$10 and includes a Wine Token and a plastic cup. Wine Token holders are entitled to select any wine booth (except wine booths in the Grand Tasting Pavilion) for wine tasting. One to two wine tokens are required for one tasting of about 40 ml. Special Note Wine-tasting participants must be aged 18 or above and bear the official stamp for identification. The HKTB reserves the right to require buyers of wine passes / wine tokens to show their documents of identity. Please do not drive after drinking. Bottled wines purchased at the festival should not be consumed or opened on site.

For both local residents and visitors, on-site purchase of the Wine Pass will be available at the original price during the event period. Visitors also can purchase the Wine Pass off-site at original price from 28 to 31 October noon. Special Notes: Interested parties are advised to purchase the Grand Tasting Pass and Wine Pass in advance to avoid the queue at the venue. Only a limited number of Wine Passes will be available on-site. A total of 30,000 Wine Passes and 6,000 Grand Tasting Passes will be sold by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
5 Live Entertainment Grand Tasting Pavilion Sunset Tasting with Wine Collectors Wine Appreciation Class Live Performance An array of world-class live performances will be featured on all four nights. The main stage will be seized by leading musicians, including Dutch jazz sensation Laura Fygi, famous record producer, songwriter and singer Hanjin Tan, acclaimed Asian jazz singer Eugene Pao, versatile jazz band Renfrew Group, award-winning Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra, as well as guest celebrities, such as local pop icons Ivana Wong and William So. Roving performances will also be available to ensure that fun permeates the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade. The brand new Grand Tasting Pavilion, occupying over 600 sq. meters to host 20 wine booths showcasing premium wines, will provide an exclusive and specially arranged area for wine lovers to enjoy. Speakers from the Bordeaux Wine Council from France, the Hong Kong Management Association, Hong Kong Sommelier Association, The Open University of Hong Kong, and Sopexa Hong Kong will share with beginners of wine tasting their professional tips on different aspects of wine, as well as pairing of wine and wine paraphernalia. The chefs include Michelin-starred chefs are from Yunyan Sichuan Restaurant and Le Soleil, other local master chefs from The Mira, Royal Garden Hotel, Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees and overseas Michelin-starred chefs Pascal Nibaudeau from France and cheese master Clarence Grosdidier from Bordeaux. Participants will have the opportunity to sample the dishes paired with fine wines.
