Bar Arrangement Policies The Sands Hotel provides all the liquor, beer, wine, mix, ice and all suitable glassware with the following bar stipulations: -Minors (those persons under the age of 19 years old) are not permitted at any time, to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages. -Bar licensed hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. -Bar openings that are requested for under 4 hours or for groups under 50 people, will be charged a flat setup fee of $25.00 plus $12.00 per hour for a bartender, for a minimum of four hours. -Due to liquor laws, only licensed employees of the Sands Hotel are able to serve alcohol. Banquet Policies 1. Food & beverage bookings require a deposit of 50% of the estimated cost payable 10 days after confirmation, all other bookings require a 100% deposit. Deposit is nonrefundable if cancellation is made later than one month prior to the date booked. Final payment is due immediately upon completion of function unless credit arrangements have been established with our Credit Manager in the Accounting Department. Tentative bookings will only be held 10 days. 2. The Hotel will require a 48 hour advance notice on guaranteed numbers. 3. Products and equipment are the responsibility of the exhibitor; arrival and departure times are to be arranged with the Catering Manager. The Hotel is not responsible for any loss or damage to any goods, property and/or equipment brought into the hotel by the host. 4. The Hotel reserves the right to change the function room with notification to the convenor. 5. All functions must be completed by 1:00 a.m. and the premises vacated by 1:30 a.m., all personal belongings must be removed from the premises at this time. 6. Banquet meal selections are not limited to the current menu. We would be happy to discuss a special menu for your function, given ample notice. (Ie: Allergies etc.) 7. All final arrangements and menus must be confirmed two weeks prior to your function date or at time of booking if less than two weeks prior to function date. 8. The Sands Hotel reserves the right to inspect and regulate all functions. 9. For holiday functions, due to premium wages for holiday work, it is necessary to add $3.00 per person to the price quoted for the entree selection or cocktail and hors d oeuvre parties. 10. The Hotel does not permit nails, staples, tacks, etc... to be used on the function room walls. Masking tape is permissible. Any function which uses live or pre-recorded music is subject to a S.O.C.A.N. fee of $29.56 (no dancing) or $59.17 (with dancing).
