Gold / Joven - Are Blanco Tequila's with the addition of caramel colouring, sugar syrups and oak extracts giving the Tequila it's golden colour. Typically smoother and a popular choice for cocktails. Reposado - Literally translates to mean 'rested'. Mexican law states that to be called Reposado it must spend at least 2 months in wooden barrels. Barrel ageing adds complexity and mellowness to the Tequila. Anejo - Anejo translates to mean vintage or age. According to Mexican law, it must spend at least 1 year in wood Barrels with a maxium capacity of 600 litres. These are tequilas with richness and body. Extra Anejo - These Tequilas must spend a minimum of 3 years in barrel. They are rich and very complex; showcasing flavours of chocolate, caramel, spice and smoke.
