No Cook Pumpkin Pie Materials: 1 9-inch pre made graham cracker crust 1 15-ounce can of pumpkin filling 1 5-ounce package of instant vanilla pudding mix 1 c. milk 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 2 cups frozen whipped topping Teacher prep: Mix first five ingredients in a bow with a blender. Fold in 1 ½ C. of the whipped cream Pour into pie shell Place in freezer until firm about 2 hours Top with remaining whip cream Child s process: Assist teacher with measuring and mixing ingredients Eat and enjoy

Caramel Apples Materials: Apple Slices 1 package of cream cheese 1 cup of brown sugar 3 T. Vanilla Extract Teacher prep: Slice apples Mix cream cheese and brown sugar until soft, add vanilla flavoring and mix until smooth Child s process: Assist teacher with measuring and mixing ingredients Dip apple slices in Caramel dip

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Materials: Large pumpkin Spoons Small cookie sheet Colander Toaster oven Teacher prep: Cut the top off of the pumpkin When ready, bake in oven Child s process: Scoop out the seeds Pull of the pumpkin residue Wash and drain in colander Pat dry and place on cookie sheet

Pumpkin Popcorn Balls Materials: Popped popcorn Marshmallows ( I bag of mini) Butter ( 1stick) Orange food coloring Candies for deocrating Teacher prep: Melt butter and marshmallows in microwave Coat popcorn with mixture and toss well Child s process: With a scoop of popcorn, roll into a ball shape Attach candies for the face

Candy Filled Thanksgiving Cornucopias Materials: Sugar ice cream cones Frosting tubes Candies Dried fruits Teacher prep: Use the frosting to write the names on the cones Child s process: Choose candies to fill the inside of the cone Decorate with icing

Mummy Pizzas Materials: English muffins Pizza sauce Olives Cheese sticks or cheese slices Green pepper Paper plates Spoons Toaster oven Teacher prep: Purchase all materials Cut green pepper into tiny bits to fit in the middle of the olives as pupils for the eyes Place half an English muffin on a paper plate for each child Child s Process Spread pizza sauce onto half of an English muffin Set olive slices in place for eyes Place bits of green pepper into the olives as pupils Lay strips of cheese across the muffin for the mummy s wrapping Bake for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees or until cheese is melted Enjoy String cheese works great with this recipe

Snowman Pancakes Materials: Pancake mix Skillet Powder sugar Chocolate chips or M&M s Paper plates Forks Syrup (optional) Teacher prep: Purchase materials Child s Process: Children mix the pancake batter; take turns adding ingredients and stirring With teacher assistance, cook small pancakes Place three small pancakes on a paper plate for each child Sprinkle them with powder sugar Add chocolate chip or M&M s for buttons and a face

Ziploc Ice Cream Materials: 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup half and half 1 tablespoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract Sandwich size Ziploc bags Gallon size Ziploc bag 2 cups ice 1 tablespoon salt Music Teacher prep: Purchase materials Child s Process: Step One: Fill one sandwich sized Ziploc bag with ½ cup of milk, ¼ cup of half and half, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract Seal the bag securely, making sure to remove as much excess air as you can Place the bag inside the second sandwich sized Ziploc bag Seal that bag as well Step Two: Fill the gallon size Ziploc bag with 2 cups of ice and 1 tablespoon of salt Place the smaller bag that has been filled with the milk mixture inside the larger bag Seal it firmly, getting as much air out of the bag as you can. Step Three: Turn on some music and shake yourselves silly Dance to the music and shake the bag of ice-cream mixture If you prefer harder ice-cream, place the bag of soft ice cream in the freezer for 1-2 hours

Edible Penguin Materials: Oreo cookies Candy corn Hershey kisses Small paper plates Knife Teacher prep: Purchase materials Child s Process: Take the top off of an Oreo Break or cut the top in half (the side without icing on it) Unwrap a candy kiss Push the flat part of the kiss into the frosting on the Oreo Place the two halves of the other part of the cookie on the icing with the round sides facing the center (see picture below) Use two pieces of candy corn to make the feet Enjoy!

Graham Cracker Gingerbread House Materials: Graham crackers Plastic foam meat trays Powder sugar Water Bowl Candy for decorating Plastic knives Teacher prep: Purchase materials Gather foam meat trays Mix powder sugar and a small amount of water to make a thick paste Child s Process: Spread a thin layer of sugar paste on the bottom of the foam tray Use sugar paste to glue four graham crackers to form a square for the base of the house Glue a half of a cracker on top as the ceiling Glue on two more cracker halves as the roof Decorate with sugar paste and candy Use gingerbread men cookies as decoration Can add mini-marshmallows, sprinkles or other small candy pieces like M&M s.

Edible Igloo Materials: Styrofoam trays or paper plates Styrofoam cups Mini marshmallows White frosting Scissors Teacher prep: Purchase marshmallows and frosting Cut about one inch off the top of a cup for each child Child s Process: Turn the cup upside down Glue it to the Styrofoam tray or plate with frosting Glue marshmallows around the base of the Styrofoam cup with frosting Glue more rows of marshmallows around the cup and on top with frosting until it is covered Stack a few marshmallows to the side of the cup to make the door to the igloo For added fun add a few gummy bears

Kwanzaa Fried Bananas Materials: Medium to large bananas Plastic knives Lemon juice Brown sugar Cinnamon Butter Skillet Spatula Paper plates, paper towels Teacher prep: Purchase all materials Child s Process: Peel the bananas Cut the bananas into 1/2" slices with plastic knives Place all banana slices on a plate Sprinkle them with a little lemon juice, brown sugar and cinnamon Put butter in the skillet over medium heat Place a layer of banana slices in the skillet Fry both sides until golden Drain on a paper towel Enjoy
