Bertie has the capacity to fit 120 people standing and is ideally suited to cocktail style events. We think we ve got all bases covered here but if you have any special requests, we will do our best to accommodate you. Otherwise, CBCo reserve the right to release your booking. If the booking is to be made within 7 days, confirmation and deposit is required immediately. CONFIRMATION, DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT Confirmation of your booking, signed terms and conditions and a 20% booking deposit are required within 7 days of the original reservation. All outstanding amounts must be paid by cash or credit card and settled in full on the day of the function without exception. CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE Final numbers are required no later than 48 hours before the start time of the booking. Charges will be based on confirmed numbers or the actual attendance, whichever is greater. MINIMUM SPEND Minimum spends are inclusive of food and beverage provided the food options are supplied by CBCo. If external catering is arranged, the minimum spend amount must be spent on beverage in its entirety. Failure to meet the minimum spend will result in the client being liable for the shortfall which will be charged as room hire. CANCELLATION In the event of a function cancellation; More than 14 days notice: 100% of deposit will be refunded Less than 14 days notice: Deposit will not be refunded. PROPERTY, DAMAGE AND LOSS AND CLEANING Whilst the staff of CBCo will take every care with the security and protection of your personal belongings, we are unable to accept responsibility for damage or loss of property before, during or after the function. Organisers are financially responsible for any damage to the building, furniture or property during and immediately following the function. This includes any costs for repair or replacement at current market price. The organisers of the function are solely responsible for damage caused by their guests, outside contractors or agents prior to, during and after their event. BYO POLICY No food or beverage of any kind is permitted to be brought into CBCo for consumption by guests, with the exception of pre-organised external catering and celebratory cakes. A service fee of $2 will be charged per head for cutting, plating and serving of any dessert. ADDITIONAL COSTS CBCo reserves the right to on-charge any additional set up costs such as linen, additional tables and chairs or cutlery and crockery upon mutual agreement with the function organiser. CBCo will provide a quote to the function organiser prior to the event of what costs will be incurred dependant on requirements and final numbers. Terms and CONDITIONS (cont d) ENTERTAINMENT Bands, DJ s and any other entertainment you wish to have at your function can be organised through our events team. If you have your own preferred contact, you may use them at the approval of CBCo management. AV EQUIPMENT An additional charge of $100 for use of any audio visual equipment is applicable when hosting an event at CBCo. A projector may also be hired for an additional fee of $100 for exclusive brewery functions. BERTIE 55 Samsung LED screen (free to air TV, laptop input, USB flash drive input, HDMI) BREWERY HALL In-house music system WHOLE BREWERY DJ equipment: 2 x CDJ 900, 1 x DJM 900 mixer, corded microphone with stand, 2 x Thump 1000w 15 powered speakers, 2 x FOH 2000w bandroom speakers, 2 x 2000w subwoofers. BEVERAGE Due to license restrictions, CBCo is unable to serve spirits or mixed drinks of any kind. As CBCo is a functioning brewery, a particular type of license known as a producer s license is held and as such only beer and cider produced on site may be sold, with the exception of a small number of wines. PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT There is ample street parking available on Bertie Street and if needed, on adjacent Fennel Street. No parking restrictions apply anywhere in the vicinity. If you wish to use public transport you can take the number 109 tram and disembark at North Port station which is a 5 minute stroll from the brewery. CONTENT OF EVENT If CBCo has reason to believe that any event or function will affect the smooth running of the venue, its security or reputation, management reserves the right to cancel at its discretion without notice or liability. Some functions may require security which will be advised at the time of booking. RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL CBCo adheres to responsible service of alcohol legislation. All staff are trained in accordance with the Liquor Licensing Accredited RSA Responsible Service of Alcohol and by way of law may refuse to serve alcohol to any person who they may believe to be intoxicated. Any intoxicated person will be removed from the venue. In accordance with Liquor Licensing laws of Victoria, minors are only permitted on the premises in the direct company of their parent or legal guardian and may be asked to leave the venue at the discretion of management. At no time is a minor permitted to consume alcohol on the premises.
