2015 CASE STUDIES CASE STUDIES Consumer Promotion 2012 & 2013 A Cheese Brand launched a consumer recipe contest, engaging the consumers through many facets of digital media. The goal of the contest was to create some new recipes for the following year s campaign. They leveraged the Weber Experience by utilizing Weber recipes that featured cheese. Weber created videos that demonstrated grilling techniques, which the Cheese Brand then shared with their consumers. The Cheese Brand purchased Weber grills and accessories as prizing to be used throughout their 2 year alliance. The lift that the Cheese Brand received after aligning with Weber in 2012 encouraged them to continue the relationship in 2013. Consumer Promotion 2012-Present A Beer Brand engaged consumers in a tailgate experience at 10 NFL football games. They enlisted the support of a Food Network TV personality who enjoys grilling on the Weber charcoal grill. Custom Weber grills were used during the grilling competition, and Weber prizes were awarded. The campaign s theme celebrated the experience of grilling with friends and family and enjoying a cold beer. There was media coverage at these events. We continue to engage with this alliance. 2015 CASE STUDIES CASE STUDIES Gift with Purchase-B2B 2012-Present A Tool Manufacturer purchased the Weber Q gas grill as an incentive for the launch of a new tool. The style of tool was not new to the industry but it was new for this brand s collection. Their distribution network supplied a custom Q gas grill as an incentive to customers who met the purchasing specification of the program Purchase the tool plus a designated amount of other items. The program was forecasted at 300 units of the Q gas grills. The results allowed them to give away over 2,000 units of the Q gas grills. The excitement that was created by leveraging the Weber Experience, led to an increase in sales of the new tool far beyond their original projection. Weber provided in-kind incentives to the top performers on the Tool Manufacturer s sales team a Weber Genesis gas grill. The Tool Manufacturer also received access to Weber recipes to be used in the social component of the engagement. Outdoor Entertainment Alliance Case Study 2012-Present A Campground Experience provider reached out to Weber to leverage the Weber Experience to gain exposure for the launch of their new upscale cabins. Weber participated in the provider s national meeting, helping create recipe cards with custom messaging for their campground guests to receive in their welcome kit. The Campground Experience Provider designated Weber grills to be used in conjunction with each new cabin. We currently engage with them in social media and event opportunities.
