Alto Adige Lagrein Appellation: ALTO ADIGE LAGREIN DOC Vineyard extension (hectares): 1.8 Blend: 100% Lagrein Vineyard age (year of planting): Lagrein 1990,2005 Soil Type: porphiric, sandy, clayey Altitude: 360 meters above sea level Colour: Ruby red tending to deep garnet red with purplish reflections Nose: Typical, intense notes of violet, vanilla and underbrush berries Flavour: Pleasant and full in the mouth, supple tannins Serving temperature ( C): 18-20 Match with: red meat dishes, game, seasoned cheese Average no. bottles/year: 10,000 Vinification and ageing: Traditional alcoholic fermentation with pumping over of the must followed by maceration with the skins in steel. Malolactic fermentation in steel. The wine matures in French oak casks of a capacity of 10-15 hectolitres for 12 months.

Flavour: Full in the mouth, noble and evident tannins. Supple and persistent finish with spicy notes found in the nose. Serving temperature ( C): 16-18 Match with: Red and white meat dishes. Cheese Average no. bottles/year: 5,000 Grape yield per hectare tons: 8 Vinification and ageing: Alcoholic fermentation with pumping over of the must for 5 days followed by a maceration with the skins for 15-20 days. Malo-lactic fermentation in steel. The wine matures in French oak casks of a capacity of 10-15 hectolitres for approximately 18 months. The wine was bottled in January 2014.

Fresh, sapid with a good aromatic persistence in the moutht Serving temperature ( C): 8-12 Match with: As an aperitif with light hors d oeuvres, dishes with asparagus Average no. bottles/year: 4,000 Grape yield per hectare tons: 9 Vinification and ageing: Brief maceration with the skins before pressing. Alcoholic fermentation with temperature control. The wine rests in steel for approximately 6-7 months. Bottling in May 2014
