Holiday Recipes! Great Deals Honey-P Ham Glaze and Sauce Ingredients 1 cup p preserves 2 Tbsp. Creole mustard or spicy brown mustard 1 1/2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar 1/3 cup honey Directions Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a simmer. Use about 1/3 of the mixture to spoon over a ham the last 20 minutes of roasting time and serve the rest as a sauce. www.about.com Prime Rib with Roasted Garlic and Horseradish Crust Ingredients 30 large garlic cloves, unpeeled 1/4 cup olive oil 1/3 cup prepared white cream-style horseradish 1/2 tsp. coarse salt 1 (6-) well-trimmed boneless beef rib roast Directions Preheat oven to 350 F. Toss garlic cloves and olive oil in small baking dish; cover. Bake until garlic begins to brown, about 35 minutes. Drain olive oil into food processor. Cool 15 minutes. Peel garlic and place in food processor. Add prepared horseradish and coarse salt. Puree until almost smooth. Place rack on large rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle prime rib with salt and pepper. Spread thin layer of garlic mixture on underside of beef. Place beef, garlic mixture side down, onto rack. Spread beef with remaining garlic mixture. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours or up to 1 day. Position rack in bottom third of oven; preheat to 350 F. Uncover beef. Roast until thermometer inserted into top center registers 125 F for rare, about 1 hour 45 minutes. Transfer beef to platter; let stand 30 minutes. Scrape pan juices into small saucepan. Slice prime rib crosswise. Rewarm juices; drizzle over beef. Apple Crumb Pie Ingredients 1 (9-inch) pie shell 6 cups thinly sliced apples 1 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional) 3/4 cup white sugar 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon Directions 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/2 cup raisins (optional) 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional) 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 3 Tbsp. butter www.about.com Preheat oven to 375 F. Place sliced apples in a large bowl. Sprinkle with lemon juice if desired. In a small bowl, mix together white sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Toss until apples are evenly coated. Stir in raisins and walnuts if desired. Spoon mixture into pastry shell. In a small bowl mix together 1/2 cup flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter or margarine until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle mixture over apple filling. Cover top loosely with aluminum foil. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes, until top is golden brown.
