Collesi, a true story of authenticity and Made in Italy excellence Giuseppe Collesi was part of the family farm managed by his parents since he was young, and in 1994 he opened one of the first farmhouses in the Marche region of Italy. Passion for quality and legacy to the territory pushed him to start a small production of craft spirits in 2000, too. Today, Tenute Collesi is considered a first-class group in the production of craft beer (which started in 2008) and quality spirits, both in Italy and abroad. Solid experience, skills developed over time, particular focus on raw materials quality, together with an eye on ancient and precious master-brewers and master-distillers methods, link the name Collesi to who is able to identify Made in Italy craft beer and spirits of incomparable excellence.
Distillers with no peers Tenute Collesi Distilleries are located in Apecchio, a tiny medieval village in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, at the border among the Italian regions Marche, Umbria and Tuscany. The craft and family business started with the marc of year 2000, when a set of different kinds of brandies and grappas were produced through an elegant discontinuous steam bath still. The local climate is certainly behind the success: Collesi is one of the few Italian producers to work at an height of 700 meters above sea level, where low humidity and high temperature range allow a very good raw material preservation. All ingredients are selected very carefully and best production techniques are used through a discontinuous steam bath method: such a system avoids any unpleasant fire shots, and allows a slow grape skins heating where steam has the appropriate time to get rich in alcohol and aromas, to obtain smoother and more fragrant grappas. The best marc are found and preserved in a perfect way, to extract just the heart of the aromas, while pure spring water from Mount Nerone gives the final added value.
two great news from tenute collesi distilleries From the old craft tradition and the non-stop quality research, Tenute Collesi Distilleries launch today two big news in the field of spirits : a high-end Gin and a high-end Vodka, both rigorously Made in Italy. Each one the outcome of unique production processes and strong links to the territory. Care for details is not only part of an excellent product quality, but of the elegant and modern design as well: a tall and slender bottle, which is embellished at the base by tiny bas-relief glass drops - black for the Gin, opaque white for the Vodka - with contrasting minimal logo. Being keeper since more than 20 years of an ancient craftsmanship in the production of top-level Grappas, Tenute Collesi is the authentic symbol of an Italian family tradition, made up by roots, experience and creativity. The same tradition that is now expanded but loyal to its past at the same time, always willing to explore new routes to Made in Italy tastes.
Collesi Gin is produced in Italy with first quality ingredients, which are selected in the company s land (located in Apecchio, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino) and represent a gift of a surrounding extraordinary environment such as Le Marche region: pure spring water from Mount Nerone, the best available barley and above all the precious juniper berries from the local Apennines. Further to this particularly precious plant, another unique feature is the pairing with visciole, a sweet cherry variety native of Le Marche region. This tiny fruit guarantees a peerless aroma (together with other refined botanicals: hop, wild rose, nutshell, Italian orange and lemon peels) and is part of the exclusive box, where it is made available in a glass jar together with 3 Gin bottles, and completed by a recipe book to create original cocktails, such as the iconic Collesi Gin & Tonic with Visciole*. Flavour is intense but harmonious at the same time, deeply complex and balanced: Collesi Gin provides a rich and intense experience at any sip.
Collesi Vodka is produced from a refined blend of wheat, grape and wine, which is treated according to a slow and accurate handcrafted method. Alcohol is subject to an intensive refrigeration of minimum 56 hours, before being gradually taken back up above 0 C and filtered 8 times. The outcome is mixed in the end with the precious pure spring water coming from Mount Nerone. Through its absolute sharpness, Collesi Vodka releases a delicate and fruity flavour, with aromatic notes of cereals and grapes, that leave room in the end to a smooth and harmonious taste. Collesi Vodka is excellent both when served straight and chilled at 3 C and when used in cocktails and long drinks.
