Appealing yeasty note plus some spice on the palate. Ultra-dry with a super-fine mousse. (4½ Stars, Delicate light gold colour with a lime-green hue. The nose is fresh, lemony and floral with notes of green apple, followed by yeasty and biscuity aromas brought by the lengthy maturation on the lees. Very fine bead of bubbles with a persistent mousse. Opulent on the palate, this wine shows a harmonious balance between fresh zestiness, mineral complexity and a warm breadth of leesy creaminess. White peach, yellow apple and spice. Rich and broad but balanced by tangy acidity. 5.8 Warwick Professor Black 2014 Shows an abundance of passion fruit, gooseberry, grapefruit and lime aromas that carry through the palate. The mouth feel is crisp, yet rich and fruity. The well-balanced acid and lingering aftertaste will make you come back for more. 5.9 Cape Point Vineyards Reserve 2015 Includes 13% Semillon. The nose shows blossom, lime, peach and a hint of honey. Great fruit expression, smooth in texture while the acidity is nicely integrated. Very well managed. (4½ Stars, 5.12 Ataraxia Sauvignon Blanc 2015 One of Kevin Grant s best wines. It s racy, rapier-like steeliness, perfectly matched by breadth of cool, ripe fruit. Mouth-wateringly long. 5.13 La Motte Sauvignon Blanc 2013 Intense gooseberry followed by green apple, winter melon and lemon on the nose makes this wine very friendly and approachable. The natural acid is covered by the gentle, full and creamy palate. In spite of the low residual sugar there is a mellow sweetness on the palate. WHITE BLENDS 10.1 *Boplaas Cape Portuguese White Blend 2014 Aromatic light bodied wine with combination of tropical fruit flavours, citrus, yellow pear, Granny Smith apple, lemongrass and crisp acidity. (4 Stars, R100 10.2 Buitenverwachting Buiten Blanc 2014 This full bodied Sauvignon Blanc based blend offers a variation of fruit characters including ripe gooseberry, green peppers, green melon and hints of tropical fruit. 10.3 Fairview Nurok 2012 Consisting of 43% Viognier, 35% Chenin Blanc, 17% Roussanne and 5% Grenache Blanc, this is a sumptuous, very polished wine showing plenty of white peach flavour excellent concentration and zippy acidity. There s also a touch of earthiness, even mushroom, to prevent it from becoming too easy. (5 Stars, 10.4 Tokara Director s Reserve White 2012 The nose is complex and intense with aromas of quince, passion fruit and toasted almonds. The palate is complex, and full of flavours. The oak maturation is perfectly balanced with intense fruit flavours and notes of buttered toast. The mid palate is rich and mouth filling with a stunning grip and a long crisp finish. The lingering aftertaste hints at the pedigree and longevity of this delicious wine. 10.7 Constantia Glen Two 2012 A Bordeaux-styled white blend showing peach and tangerine, subtle oak plus an intriguing reductive note. Lots of depth and good balance pure fruit with a great line of acidity. (4½ Stars, 10.8 Mullineux White Blend 2013 This wine has a nose of ripe, green citrus fruit and Christmas spices. The palate is fresh and richly textured, with notes of ripe pears, almonds and peaches, and a clove-like finish.
