Official Rules for Entry Ginworld Regional Corpse Reviver Competition The Corpse Reviver #2 has seen a huge reawakening over the past decade helping bartenders bring gin back to the forefront of consumer imbibing and awareness. The drink itself is a perfect balance of botanical, citrus, herbal, and bittersweet components. Literally, a perfect balance being an equal parts recipe with a few drops. In this competition, we are asking participants to redefine this gin cocktail utilizing those who have helped the local industry grow. All participants in each city will only be allowed to use gins made locally in conjunction with the absinthe sponsor. In addition, there will be a boomerang aspect to this competition. The winning cocktail from each city will be pitted against the winning cocktail from the other two cities in a final blind judging in San Francisco. Winners from each city will receive a prize and the Boomerang winner will receive an additional Grand Prize to be announced! Eligibility: The contest is open to anyone residing in the states of Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Missouri and California region at least 21 years old. Bartenders must actively work as a bartender in a bar or restaurant. Sponsor s Right to Entries: You do not transfer ownership of your Entry by entering the Contest. However, by entering, you: irrevocably grant Sponsor, its agents, licensees, and assigns the unconditional and perpetual exclusive right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, exhibit, and otherwise use your Entry (with or without using your name) in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party. Competition Rules: - Each recipe will only be able to use local gin sponsors and absinthe sponsor - Each participant will need to create 4 drinks, 1 per judge and 1 for photo - There is a limit of 5 ingredients total, including bitters, meaning that you can use the local gin sponsor, the absinthe sponsors, and 3 other ingredients of your choosing - None of the ingredients can be house made except for simple syrup or syrup infused with one (1) other flavor (ie, raspberry syrup, cinnamon syrup, etc.) - There are no requirements regarding amounts of sponsored brands to be used. Want to use ½ oz, ¾ oz, 1 ½ oz? Do it. - All recipes must be for one cocktail no greater than 4 ½ oz total volume - All recipes must be for an UP cocktail. Nothing served over ice, tall, on the rocks - All recipes must have a corresponding warning to them, just as Harry Craddock had in the 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book: o Craddock s Warning: Four of these taken in swift succession will quickly unrevive the corpse again. Regional Winner Selection: a. First Round: Judges will review the first round of entries from your emailed submissions. Seven finalists will be selected from entries. b. Second Round: Ginworld Team will contact the Finalists in each regional territory and invite them to compete. Local Judging Criteria Per City c. Wittiness and charm of corresponding warning i.
