Even before he passed-away, he d slip money to visitors from his hospital bed asking them to buy him a lottery ticket. Grandpa Grove had always said he would buy us a restaurant with his winnings. Although he never won, we come from a family used to doing things the hard way which is part of our heritage from Grandpa as well. In honor of Grandpa and all of our ancestors who worked hard for their dreams, we opened Mackey s a place for unique, homemade food served casually for hard working people like us.
