PROMOTION: No advertising or promotion on behalf of commercial business will be permitted on the Showground without the prior written consent of the Society s Chief Executive Officer. PRIVACY ACT STATEMENT: The information provided by the Exhibitor in the application for entry is collected and used by the Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia (RASWA) to organise and conduct Competitions at the 2017 IGA Perth Royal Show. We will not disclose your information without your consent for any other purpose unless required or authorised by law. You may request access to your personal information and, if necessary, request that our records of that information be corrected by writing to the Chief Executive Officer at the Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia, PO Box 135, Claremont WA 6910. SECTION CONDITIONS 1. COMPLETION OF ENTRIES: 1.1 All classes shall be open to Wine Producers, hereinafter called Exhibitors, for competition according to the conditions applicable to the respective sections. 1.2 An Exhibitor in this section shall mean a Person, Partnership, Association, Co-operative, Company or Corporate Body who or which in the opinion of the RASWA, manufactures wine or grows grapes and has wine manufactured for him/her or it for the purpose of sale by wholesale or by retail under the name or preferred business name of Exhibitor as stated in the application for entry. 1.3 Exhibitors are limited to THREE ENTRIES PER CLASS, except fortified classes which are two entries per class. All Exhibitors and exhibits to be entered under the name that the wine will be marketed. NO WINE IS TO BE ENTERED INTO THE SHOW MORE THAN ONCE (excluding Wines of Provenance classes). 1.3.1 Each wine entry to consist of SIX x 750ml bottles in table wines and sparkling classes and FOUR X 750ml bottles in fortified classes. 1.3.2 If forwarding the smaller bottles (375ml) for the Table Wines and Sparkling classes, you must send TWELVE x 375ml bottles and indicate on the entry to ensure that we provide 12 labels for your class entry and EIGHT X 375ml of the Fortified classes to ensure you receive 8 labels for your class entry. 1.4 Entries must be made online via Perth Royal Show website. Exhibitors must state the class to be competed for, the style or type and vintage or approximate age of the wine, and that the stipulated minimum quantity is in stock. Each exhibit must represent stock as recorded on the entry and be the bona fide property of that Exhibitor. For the purpose of this condition Exhibitor means the Corporation, Firm, or Person who owns the brand name under which name the wine entered in the relevant class has been or is intended to be sold to the public. 1.5 TRANSFERS: There will be no transfers under any circumstances. It is the Exhibitors responsibility to enter the correct wine in the correct class. 1.6 MINIMUM STOCK REQUIREMENTS: The minimum quantities required in certain classes, as stated in the schedule, must be held in bottles by the dozen by the Exhibitor as at 28 August 2017. Wine that is not bottled is ineligible. (Except from those Wines stipulated in 1.6.1). 1.6.1 FORTIFIED WINES: It is no longer a requirement that fortified wines (Classes 53 to 72) be held in a bottle by wineries. They may be left in bulk storage and drawn down into bottles for the wine show. 8

1.7 SMALL PRODUCERS who process under 300 tonnes of grapes for their own label (i.e. under 300 tonnes processed from their own grown and/or purchased grapes and marketed under their own label or labels but not including grapes processed for other independent identities) who mark and sign the declaration in space provided on their entry and who also meet the present minimum stock requirement as listed will be eligible to exhibit in all classes. 1.8 SINGLE VINEYARD CLASSES: Please indicate via the tick box in the entry. Single vineyard classes have been merged into main classes for 2017. The wines entered in these classes must be 100% from the one vineyard. For single vineyard entries, the name of the vineyard must be written on the label. 1.9 Entries will only be accepted from Australia. 1.10 All wines must comply with the Australian Label Integrity (LIP) regulations. Entries should be entered into the class that is most appropriate to the label. 1.11 WINES OF PROVENANCE CLASSES (Classes 21 - white and 46 - red): These classes are open to white and red table wines. Each entry will comprise three wines of the same label, (a) one of current vintage, (b) one between 5 and 9 years older than current vintage and (c) one at least 10 years older than the first wine. For the purpose of this class, current vintage means a wine that is, or will be, on commercial release in Australia between the 1 April 2016 and the 30 June 2017. Each entry is to consist of 6 x 750ml bottles (two bottles per vintage). Extra samples of wine may be required on the Exhibitor s Tasting Day. The intrinsic quality and trueness to style are the judging attributes. Each exhibit will be judged as a group. The wines in the group will not be awarded individual scores. An award is made to the labelled wine as a group, not an individual vintage. Volume required at the time of entry is 250 dozen 750ml bottles for the first wine. There is no minimum stock requirement for the second and third wines. Any of the wines in the exhibit may be separately entered as individual exhibits. 2. LABELLING OF EXHIBITS: 2.1 Exhibits are to bear the labels supplied by the RASWA for that purpose, and must show: 2.1.1 Class number; 2.1.2 Class description; 2.1.3 Distinguishing mark or code to enable exhibits to be positively identified; 2.1.4 Year of Vintage, or if blended, the average age of the exhibit. DISQUALIFICATION: No entry will be received from any wineries or businesses disqualified by this Society or any other similar Society during the period of such disqualification. Should any such entry be accepted it shall, when discovered, be deemed void and the entry fee and exhibit shall be forfeited and other affiliated Wine Show Societies notified. 4. ADVERTISING AND DISPLAY OF AWARDS: 12.1 Compliance by a producer (including by subsidiaries or by associated companies) with the Winemakers Federation of Australia Code of Practice for the Display of Awards is a prerequisite for entry to the Perth Royal Wine Show of which the display of awards or medals are authorised by the AWBC for export to Europe. This Code of Practice for the display of awards applies to all wines produced after and including the 2005 vintage. 12.2 Producers shall not use medals, stickers, symbols or other devices on a bottle or any other form of packaging in order to misleadingly convey the impression that the wine has received an award at an open, objective and independent competition.

12.3 An Exhibitor shall not advertise or allow to be advertised by any means whatsoever and in particular by broadcasting, television, pictorially or in writing, the fact that any exhibit has won an award at the 2017 Perth Royal Wine Show unless such advertisement shows clearly: (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) the name Perth Royal Wine Show; the year of the award; the class in which the award was won; the title of the award or trophy won where applicable. 12.4 Awards received by an individual exhibit shall only be applied to wines bearing the name under which the exhibit was entered. In recognition that a wine could be entered in a show before a wine has been finally allocated to a brand; portability of an award to enable it to stay with the wine which won the award shall be permitted on the condition that the Exhibitor provide prior written notification of intent to the satisfaction of RASWA. Written approval for this change must be received by the Exhibitor from RASWA prior to applying the award to the renamed wine. 12.5 Awards received by a class of wines (e.g. Most Successful Exhibitor ) shall not be used to suggest that an individual wine has received any particular distinction. These awards are not to be presented on the bottle in the form of a medal. 12.6 The use of gold, black and gold discs, bronze discs and silver discs to promote anniversaries, events, sponsorship and the like, must not be used. Stickers and symbols or other devices should be sufficiently differentiated from show medals in terms of shape and/or colour to ensure no confusion. 12.7 Any Exhibitor who in the opinion of the RASWA breaches any of these regulations or the Winemakers Federation of Australia Code of Practice for the Display of Awards may be disqualified by RASWA from exhibiting at any of its future shows as RASWA in its absolute discretion may determine. 13. PERSONAL RESULTS: Will be emailed where possible to the Exhibitor. All hard copy results will be available at the Wine Exhibitors Tasting for collection. If not collected they will be posted out to the Exhibitor. 11
