Tasting suggestions Some wine handy hints : Wines that have been made from grapes grown in hot climates are often fuller-flavoured, and are more alcoholic...here s why: Sun = riper fruit Riper fruit = high sugar content High sugar content = high alcohol and BIG flavour There s no need to be put off by fancy French wine labels that unusual sounding name is just the region (or appellation ) where the wine was made: Bordeaux = blend of Cabernet Sauvignon/Franc, Merlot and a few others. Burgundy = either Pinot ir, or Gamay - lighter in style, great with poultry Châteauneuf-du-Pape = premium red wine from Rhone - commonly a Syrah (simply Shiraz), Grenache, Mourvedre blend. It s easy to serve your wine too cold or warm - get it right every time with these golden rules: Pour a good glass of each wine don t be shy Swirl each glass a little to unlock the wine s aroma Take a good sniff and compare do you prefer one to the other? Finally...take a good sip and enjoy which would you choose again? Simply pop your white wines in the fridge 30 mins before serving And leave the reds on the worktop the night before

The Rebel Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 - Jen Pfeiffer This wine takes rich and full bodied to the next level. DOM'S MALBEC KRUGER'S PINOTAGE Lorem ipsum Malbec's not the only steak wine on the block Las Dos Tierras Malbec 2015 - Dominic Hentall The traditional pairing for all things steak. Malbec is big, juicy, fruity and with enough structure to tackle your favourite filet mignon. Bursting with dark fruits on the palate, it has a lighter, more floral nose. But don t let that fool you. This wine is dangerously drinkable. Leave to breathe for a few hours before tucking into a melt-in-the-mouth steak and big chunky chips. It won t disappoint. Kruger Family Pinotage 2016 - Johan Kruger This little known grape will often turn up the nose of most wine snobs but it s actually South Africa s barbeque belter. Plush and silky-soft, it is full of wild strawberries, dark chocolate and a wisp of bonfire smoke, this wine is the perfect match for anything you pop on the grill. Serve slightly chilled with your favourite cut of beef for a mouth-watering flavour combination.
