PRESS REPORT OF FAIRS 2012 PRESS REPORT: 15.02.2012 FAIRS OF TASTES end successfully The exhibition venue hosted domestic and foreign companies that presented their renowned brands and guidelines for their sectors within the scope of exhibition programmes. With all exhibitors making their best effort to show a wide range of the newest and the best, visitors left the fair full of knowledge and positive impressions. Especially diverse and attractive this year was the specialist programme, since it mostly took place at the exhibition venue. Despite the recession, the Fair was well visited about 12,000 mostly business visitors were listed. It turned out that in a time of severe economic crisis fairs and exhibitions play a vital role, since they represent an effective marketing and business tool in overcoming problems and concluding new deals. 6. The International GASTexpo Fair Among other, there were also companies dealing with catering and hotel equipment that were exhibited at the Fair. Equipment trends follow the pattern of straight lines and smooth surfaces. We have seen many new patterns of fabrics and met a new revolutionary material for disposable tablecloths that can replace fabric. At the time of recession, some exhibitors offer the possibility of renting equipment in addition to purchasing it. And while realising that efficient use of technologically advanced machines requires knowledge, more and more offer the possibility of professional training in various fields from bakery, confectionery and pizza making, coffee preparation, ice cream making to glassware washing and so on. The exhibitors from other segments of the GASTexpo Fair Gastronomy, Beverages, Coffee, Confectionery and Bakery presented visitors a number of new features from their programmes.
6. The International ICE CREAM Fair At first, ice cream was the food of kings. Fruit and cream were mixed with snow and ice, which were brought from mountains. Today, technological development has made ice cream available to all. Throughout the Fair, we were able to enjoy the flavours of the best ice creams on the market, since the leading global companies and brands from ice cream production, both domestic and foreign, were presented at the Fair. These presented their equipment along with additives, raw materials, products and other. Within the frame of the Ice Cream Fair, the 2 nd Slovenian Championships in Ice Cream Making took place, which evolved from its European counterpart and and is continuing its path to becoming a traditional event 4. The International Specialised WINE Fair The Fair continues the tradition of wine fairs in the Slovenian capital. The integration of domestic and foreign customers, mostly businessmen and winemakers, is running successfully. Businessmen can choose from a top-quality selection of wines in order to raise the quality and variety of wines in their facilities. Within the scope of the Fair, there is also an evaluation of wines and spirits carried out by the catering profession. Within the frame of the 4 th International Specialised WINE Fair, an evaluation of wines was carried out by the catering profession. Specialised Segment of the Fair This year, the Fair took special care of the expert public. In addition to a varied exhibition programme, exhibitors offered information about innovations in technology and educational contents. Furthermore, numerous wine tasting events represented a unique opportunity to discover new flavours. A rich specialist programme at the Fair offered new practical knowledge, both to students as well as the interested expert public. Every day of the Fair, the exhibition venue of the Valmar company hosted introductions of new features in ice cream making and tests and comparisons of individual ice cream recipes. At the A2 hall, there were presentations of the Pizza School from Italy, which also made a premiere presentation of the WELL pizza in Slovenia. Every day, Italian pizza chefs pampered our taste buds with new flavours and offered new useful knowledge.
Top-quality lectures and presentations drew the attention of secondary-school students from Slovenia and Croatia who visited the Fair in large numbers. SCHOOL OF PIZZA New Pizza WELLNESS School of pizza from Italy will host presentations every day of the fair in Hall A, during which they will present the WELL pizza in Slovenia for the first time. You will receive a lot new practical knowledge and tastings from the Italian masters of pizza! 2nd Slovenian Championship in PRODUCTION OF ICE CREAM The championship of 2011 was very successful! According to the response and interest that the championship has encountered, we decide to make it traditional. The championship is going to start the first day of the fair opening that is MONDAY, 13th FEBRUARY 2012. Rules of the championship: To the championship may register all the pastry chefs and ice cream makers, which have theri own local production of ice cream in Slovenia.To the championship can be registered for free in addition to the owner also the family and co-workers.each local that it has its own production of ice cream can register only one competitor. The commission will select 6 best ice cream that will be in the finals. The finalist will be judged by 5 members of the jury. Later will be presented the final appeal of the championship!

The Fair continues the wine culture and tradition in the Slovenian capital. The main goal of the fair is to connect Slovenian and foreign clients with the wine producers.
