A Celebration of Wine A Benefit for Arts & Education Many thanks for your participation in the 37th Annual Sun Valley Center for the Arts Wine Auction to be held July 18th 21st, 2018 in beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho. The arts education and programming offered year round by the Sun Valley Center for the Arts is made possible through the support of our vintners each year. Vintner Donation Forms Please return by April 6, 2018 DEADLINE FOR DONATION FORMS: APRIL 6, 2018 Please ensure that all donation forms and marketing materials are returned to the Wine Auction Director, Callan Miranda at cmiranda@sunvalleycenter.org by Friday, April 6th, 2018. Any donation commitments submitted after this date cannot be guaranteed to be included in print materials and therefore will not receive the marketing opportunities and attention that they deserve. MARKETING MATERIALS Please supply high resolution digital images of logos, bottles, winery and owners for our online and print materials via email to cmiranda@sunvalleycenter.org by April 6th, 2018 to ensure maximum marketing benefits. Please provide high resolution images for use in print collateral. Images should be at least 4 x 6 (1800 x 1200 pixels) at 300dpi. We can use JPEG, TIF or EPS files. PARTICIPATION We request that wineries are represented at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts Wine Auction by principals, owners or winemakers. This makes the weekend truly special by helping wineries build relationships with our patrons, and maximizes the success of the event for the winery. SHIPPING Once donation forms are received, we will send you colored stickers for each designated event that you are participating in. Please adhere these to the coordinating cases prior to shipping so that we can correctly direct your wines to each event. Wines can be shipped to our consolidator in Santa Rosa, California for free Idaho shipping as long as wines arrive prior to June 1st, or directly to our consolidator in Ketchum, Idaho. Arts Making An Impact RECOMMENDED DONATIONS QUANTITIES WEDNESDAY, JULY 18 Magnum Pig Roast: 120 guests The traditional annual Pig Roast is an intimate evening at a private venue in which vintners bring a magnum to share with other vintners and the top patrons of the Center. Magnums may be shipped in advance or brought directly to the event. It is recommended that vintners pour their own magnums at the event. Recommended Donation: 1 Magnum THURSDAY, JULY 19 Vintner Dinners: 24 40 guests per home Vintner Dinners take place at various private homes around the Wood River Valley. Vintners hosting Vintner Dinners are selected by The Center based on participating criteria and diversity. Vintner Dinners will most often have two host wineries per dinner. Recommended Donation: 2 3 varietals, 6 to 9 bottles per varietal FRIDAY, JULY 20 Wine Auction Gala: 350 guests The Auction Gala Dinner takes place at. Attending Vintners can request to host a table at the Gala Dinner. All wines at the Gala Dinner will be circulated around the room by the end of the evening. Recommended Donation: Between 1 and 3 cases, depending on desired presence in room For Auction Lot donation recommendations, see page 4 SATURDAY, JULY 21 Trade Tasting: 200 guests An exclusive indoor tasting event for local restaurant owners and vendors which takes place at Dollar Mountains Lodge. Winery representatives must be available to pour wines. Recommended Donation: 2 3 bottles per varietal Vine & Dine Plus: 350 guests An intimate indoor tasting before the general admission taking place inside. Winery representatives must be available to pour wines. Recommended Donation: 6 8 bottles per varietal Vine & Dine : 1,500 guests An outdoor food and wine event to conclude the festivities. Wines are poured by our volunteer stewards. Recommended Donation: Minimum 1 case Please note that in lieu of booth fees, we request that vintners who take part in the trade tasting and/or Vine & Dine Plus also contribute to the Vine & Dine. There is no advance guarantee regarding inclusion in the Live Auction, Hosted Table or Vintner Dinner. Any donated wines not used during the Wine Auction will be used at other Center events throughout the year, such as patron cultivation and appreciation dinners and exhibition openings. If selected as a Vintner Dinner winery, additional forms will be sent.

We still endeavor to provide the deserved publicity and recognition for each of the contributing wineries. Include any additional information, specifically tasting notes, ratings or awards to cmiranda@sunvalleycenter.org. This information will help us to educate the stewards who will be pouring your wines. Please supply digital images of logos, bottle, winery, and owners for marketing materials (300 dpi resolution jpeg). Recommended Donation: 1 3 cases, multiple varietals are encouraged. Frequently Asked Questions 1) I have not received the colored stickers for the Center, but would like to ship my wines now. May I do so? Yes! The colored stickers help our wine inventory coordinators to make sure wines get to the correct locations. We re happy for you to ship your wines without these, but please clearly mark on the outside of each box, which event that box of wine is intended for. For example, Vine & Dine or Vintner Dinner. 2) I would like to have our wines at the Trade and Vine & Dine Plus tasting, but we will not have a winery rep to pour. Are you able to pour wines for us? We believe that your wines will be best represented by you, and encourage you to pour your own wines if possible. If you re unable to attend but have an Idaho distributor, we recommend reaching out to them to see if they can help. We may be able to assign a volunteer to pour wines for you, but have limited volunteers we can assign to this duty. 3) What happens to any leftover wines at the end of the event? We take great care to only request enough wine for the events of the Wine Auction. In the case of extra wine, these are taken to the Center s temperature controlled wine storage facility, and used to benefit the Center s events year round, including patron dinners, gallery tours, exhibition openings, etc. We always aim to showcase any wines being poured at events in a way that best promotes the winery. 4) How can I get to Sun Valley? The nearest airport to Sun Valley is the Hailey airport, approximately 14 miles from Sun Valley resort. It is easily accessible from San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Denver and Portland. Boise Airport is a major hub and is approximately a 2.5 hour drive from Sun Valley. 5) I need assistance organizing my stay in Sun Valley, are you able to help? If you would like guidance on closest hotels, taxi companies, or any other aspect of your stay, please get in touch with Esther at eswilliams@sunvalleycenter.org. 6) How do I get selected to pour at a Vintner Dinner? The selection process is based on geographical variation, participation history, quality of product, private host preferences and jury selection by the Wine Auction committee.
