Midleton Very Rare 2016 Very small amounts of particularly fine distillates are set aside each year at Midleton Distillery as potential candidates for Midleton Very Rare. Specially selected oak casks, lightly charred on the inside and which previously contained old Bourbon whiskey, are then filled with this spirit and placed in our best maturing warehouse. During the ensuing years, an exacting process of selection takes place which ensures that only the very finest whiskey goes into a vatting of Midleton Very Rare.
